I was simply making a point. The guy was acting like we were trying to kill everyone in the world. Anyone with half a brain knows this isn't true. If we were, millions of people a day would be getting killed.

Let me be honest, if the US was willing to annihilate the enemies we have like they are willing to do to us (the beheadings)... our troops would already be back home and Iraq would be rubble. Not that that is right... but if we can justify the brutal and unwarranted killings over in Iraq to civilians (not just soldiers) then surely we could justify our own in the same manner.
As sad as that was, its no different to killing a person witha gun (not that I have seen that video or wish to). It has the same end result. The death of an innocent life.
How would you rather die (IF you had to), by taking a bullet in your head, or someone beheading you while you are perfectly alive and conscience ? The end result is the same, but I think there is a pretty big difference there.
Hopefully videos like this bring the war a little closer to the American people... If more people watch it, maybe it will tug some heart-strings, and inspire those to support a withdrawal... Save our troops, get them out of the civil war...

ly2, I completely agree with you. It may seem stupid but after watching a few beheading videos it really does change your perspective on life a little. And no, a quick death by being shot in the head is not equal to squealing like a pig as your throat is slowly being cut by a dull blade. I still can't get those inhuman gasping noises out of my head. I've seen some pretty sick shit on the internet. Nothing fazes me anymore.
Of course they're equal: they both result in death. If you're asking if they are equal in terms of which was more frightening or which any given man would prefer then that answer will change with everyone you ask.

While it's quite presumptuous to call me dishonest before I've answered your question, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. To answer your question, I would wish that my mother be shot as opposed to being beheaded. But, with a choice between being shot by a sniper and being beheaded myself, I would chose the beheading. If I'm going to die that way then I want to look into the eyes of my killer, and being shot from a distance by a sniper doesn't allow me that luxury. If you think that answer is dishonest, you're wrong. On the contrary I say you're a coward if you can't summon a minute's worth of courage in order to die proud and ready as opposed to being caught off-guard with no warning.
If all the countries decided to invade the U.S.A., I wonder what would happen. Especially countries with rather large sized armies, like N. and S. Korea.
I'm guessing, by the way you used the word "We" referring to owners of nuclear weapons, that you're in the military... If so, how can you believe this, knowing the amount of nuclear weapons owned by other countries? And if you're not in the military, Wow. I am so glad that you are in charge of nothing.
