I was curious if anyone knows of a FREE seo tool, with a bunch of features like site submission and ?????. I have seen several sites that offer free submission to 10-20 engines. I have used these sites, but some are repeating submissions... won't that get me banned or something? I am also looking for a FREE Domain tool, to let me do bulk searches of available names in different categories.

Submitting to Search Engines are waste of time. Instead, make them to crawl your site. If you continue repeating submission in a period of time then they will ban your site.

It is not necessary to submit your site to search engines as they will eventually find it, provided there is a link to it from another site. Keep in mind, though, that this alone will not get you high ranking in the search engines. Quality content to keep your visitors interested, one-way links, patience, and constant promotion will do the trick.

As you learned, utilizing one of those site submit companies is not a good idea, due to multiple submissions.

Signature links in forums is often spoken of as a great way to obtain links, but it is important to remember that many forums have the 'nofollow' command. You will not receive a link from those with nofollow. Also, many blogs have nofollow, so commenting on blogs don't always help with link building either.
