OK, I'm going to get serious about Azoogle and CJ again very soon (within a couple weeks). Just would like to ask people - what do you think is the best option for driving qualified traffic and the highest conversions? Should build a site around an offer, get it ranked high? Or should I just build a landing page and PPC it?
Well, ROI = Return on Investment. Doing SEO for yourself can be free or very cheap, so I would think it would give you a better ROI. Then again, if you know nothing about SEO and you would have to pay someone to do it, PPC might be better. Personally, I use both. SEO content sites that link to landing page (some of them cloaking/redirecting), and have PPC campaigns on Adwords.
I've had better conversions with organic vs ppc. But they both work fine if you know what you're doing.
A nice combination of both seems to be the most profitable. Use SEO for more generalized terms (high traffic), use PPC for people ready to buy... AKA Long tail KW's
I have some buddies that make tons of cash in PPC using AZ and/or CJ. I've done it both ways... I've made a few bucks from PPC and I've lost a few bucks from PPC. My organic SERPS is what brings in the most money. Granted... I'm more at home with organic Vs PPC and this is where my time is best spent. My best month with: PPC = $XXX.XX (I sucked) Organic = $XX,XXX.XX (almost $100K)
SEO... nothing beats steady stream of free traffic... but ultimately you want to tag team with seo and ppc!
I would agree with the "seo" aspect as well, And since BLACKHAT is becoming the norm , might as well go with seo Oh yea and don't say you don't do blackhat either
Ok, so most of you tend to agree on the SEO side of things. Now, here's my plan 1) create a site with real, unique content about a specific product 2) work on seo, within a couple months have some real organic traffic 3) add a page about buying that product, and link to the offer Does that look like a good formula?
It's a generic example and there are sooo many factors that go into it... essentially if you do it right (IE look at other successful sites that do this) you could make some cash.
Your plan sounds good I vote for SEO, I can't imagine myself uploading funds to my Adwords account again Good luck buddy
I was to afraid to try PPC at first but over and over my rankings would tank and I would get busted. I did $320 in 1 day with just ringtone affiliate offers and the rest was $275 a day but the end of the month Google really crapped on me so I am now doing more PPC then anything
In terms of ROI, SEO is better. It can be free if you do it yourself. Or VERY EXPENSIVE if you hire a trusted company to do it. Furthermore, SEO does not provide control over results. PPC does. So it just depends on which kind of SEO you do. If you do it yourself, it will give you very good ROI if you target the good keywords (high traffic, low competition), but will be very time-consuming. If you hire a company, it might not give a good ROI... depending on the programs you are promoting, and the rates of the SEO company (and of course the quality of their work). PPC is good because it is predictable. You can check your stats, split testing ads and keywords, improve your ROI, increase advertising budget, decrease CPC... I would definitely choose PPC along with other paid advertising alternatives. However, if you have some time for SEO, it can bring a few free leads every month for life, without having to work on it again.
Its true that with seo your roi will be much better. On the other side though ppc provides faster results. Imagine for a second that you are perfoming seo for your website for longtail phrases that don't produce any profit, that's 1 month lost. whereas with ppc you can test things instantly..
A few years back I thought PPc was making me money, when we started to track, very easy to do now, We found ot diff. We still do both. But luv the SEO
