When you ask for permission to run an e mail list to promote ebay items and ebay will not reply to your mails?????

After a week i decided to run them without an OK from ebay. I spend all this time setting things up and i cant even get a reply to my mails. Any one ever here of getting dropped from the program by doing this? or CJ

Also: anyone else use mailing lists to promote ebay?

You don't need permission. Just do it. If they don't like it they'll warn you. But there's very few things ebay doesn't like in terms of promotion.

Can anyone think of a more appropriate title for this thread than 'What do ya do?'

this is in the ebay TOS

    (11) Email Promotion. You agree not to send any emails in Your promotion of the eBay site unless authorized and approved to do so by CJ. Authorization and approval of email marketing includes additional terms and conditions to which you must agree before such promotion begins.

so i ask cj: this is the reply...

Thank you for your inquiry. As eBay has their own affiliate team, please contact them directly with this question at .

Thank you for your patience and please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Why do you want to use email? In this days, email advertising is allways spam, people don't like email advertising.

I don't agree. I have a very good niche and lots of people been hooking up with my newsletter that is opt in only and making more sales because of it!!

Its not spam if users want it.

Email is HUGE for marketing...build a good targeted list and you'll see how much you can earn.

Maybe i didn't explain me right. I wasn't talking about mailing lists (permission email), i was talking about sending emails to lists that people don't give permission to have their email in that list.
