apply for click fraud tools available. search for them in google. Wait and watch if your ctr is continously high then there is problem but if its for a day or 2 then enjoy

for a sudden increase in CTR that is way out of the norm (as it appears) you should remove your ads, inform Google, and let them know that you've temporarily removed your ads while you investigate the shituation.
start looking thru your logs for duplicate IP's or duplicate referrer strings and then block those IPs or referrers with .HTACCESS

THEN.. look into something like ClickAider or another click-tracking program that might help avoid this in the future.. Note that Adlogger, the favorite in the past is no longer being supported..

yea anything more than 150% or so increase in ctr you should pull your ads and investigate.

Look at your logs as well, if there seem to be a lot of one page visits with fast bounce rates, you probably have some fraud to deal with.

If you use some script like Joomla or Wordpress, there are many addons for preventing invalid clicks.

If its hugely out of norm thn you ought to be suspicious. Have you been tracking where the traffic is coming from?

Inform google about that and remove ads until you figure out the problem.

no need to worry about it if you don't click the ads yourself, google knows how to detect the clicks.

but if u r normally getting a high CTR then u should get a pat on ur back as u have done a very good optimiation. but for a sudden rise the things needs to be investigated.

What's the purpose of click bombing? To get your competition in trouble?

That is one of the many ways to get banned.
Your friend is jealous to you, so he will click on the ads from the same IP.
Google will see the suspicious clicks and you may be banned.

Maybe Google just started delivering more relevant ads to your site. A 1%-2% CTR usually means low ad relevancy. A page with highly relevant ads should get a reletively high CTR -- possibly 50% or more. I have some pages that consistently get over 50% every day, and it's no problem, just a very good match between the content and the ads.
