The only way to rank high for your industry keywords is to find out what your competitors are doing and do it better. -Incoming Links, free directories if you don't have a budget -Optimize your tags -Put your keywords in your title (but DO NOT flood it) -Use keywords throughout your pages (again, don't flood, you'll be penalized) -Optimize your page file names with mod_rewrite (might want to google that and learn mod_rewrite) -and Stick around these forums because there is alot more to getting high ranks.
You can always pay for someone... There are many good SEO companies out there, but choose wisely, there are many scammers as well !!

Create link pages with in your site that will link to certain pages you want high ranked and the anchor text you would like to have good results for.

Script...there are some script out there will get you banned from search engines.. You need to work on your site to get top ranking.. there is no short cut for a long terms rankings ..

It just takes time. When I first started it took a while to get ranked up on google, but now Google is my main source for visitors. If you type in "Current World News" I am like the second or third one!!
