I make a decent bit with adsense, and it's increasing all the time. I've never once tried to construct "money pages" (ie, mesothelioma, legal advice, and my guess would be that I'm making quite a bit more than most of the people that DO target these pages. so what's the best way to make money with adsense, then? find keywords that're decent- not ultra high, but ones that at least have a respectable number of ads (you can check by plugging it into google, or by using the DP adsense sandbox and pointing the url to a similar site). pick medium value keywords, but pick words that're easy to drive traffic to. sure, mesothelioma may pay a lot per click, but how much genuine mesothelioma traffic do you really think you can get? this word isn't a "secret"- it's posted about in pretty much any forum on adsense out there. so many SEOs out there have probably tried taking a jab at trying to rank well for this (and many other) "money keywords." getting a decent reliable revenue from money words is a very, very difficult task. instead, pick high volume searches that aren't very commercial- there are TONS of them out there. with a moderate amount of effort, there are some keywords I've found that I feel I could probably get huge impressions for- for my newest one, I'm hoping to have ~100K pageviews a day in a few months. say 50% of those pageviews become adsense impressions- 50K impressions with a 1% CTR at 20 cents a click is already 100$ a day. just try to do some keyword research- think of everyday things that people will be searching for en masse. it works quite well, and it's a lot easier to optimize for than mesothelioma.
Everyone who's interested in making a quick buck will eat up those "high paying adsense terms" even if they are "Nebraska knee lawyers" and make a site around that phrase, hoping to be rich in a months time but it does not last. Pick a niche your comfortable with, can write about and you will have success.
Marry me. That's very true. Pick a niche you have fun with. If you're passionate about dogs, make a dog site. Sure, it's competitive, but starting with lower keywords to bring traffic in will allow you to move up to higher ones later on. Dont even worry about the money, and most people think Im crazy when I say that. The money will roll in when you genuinely like to work on your website.
good tips for newbies. especially amatuer webmasters who buy stipid MFA crap sites and dream about making millions overnight. by the way, this quote isnt true anymore. Those high paying keyword is just too fake to be true. you get a couple of $3 clicks and get smartpriced for the rest of your life and vget 0.03 per click. no wonder, i don't see any guy shouting hard and say i made any serious money with mesothelioma.
its true. I think the funniest site i'd seen was "mestothelioma-proxy.info" LOL! Sure you can bang out a few bucks if you find a niche word and get some heavy targeted traffic... hell Ive made $600 extra this week alone on a 1-page "money maker" that i put up last week. But i wouldnt expect it to last! I was getting $1 clicks but the page/keyword is headed right down the slippery smart-pricing-slope.... Its all about CONTENT and traffic that is USABLE for adwords users. If an advertiser doesnt see an ROI why the hell would he pay you to direct some bum who's searching for god knows what to his site? content content content. good traffic.
I don't agree with this marketing... but... If you make $600 off of 1 ad, and only pay $10 for domain name, that is an incredible turn around. It's like real estate. Who cares if it lasts. It's a one time deal. You sell, and move on to the next property.
exactly... 2 hours of my time plus $3 for a domain and bam... $600 in a week. Its doable but the question is, is it worth taking 2hours for such short term profits??? Truthfully Id rather be making $xx,000 a month from a steady income maker.... hopefully my next project will look more long then short.
really?? Ive never really had a "high traffic" site... i can easily obtain $100+ CPM through keywords though...
Does Google even dish out the big twenty five dollar ads to websites, or would Google reserve a lot of those for its own search page? I saw one person post about a twenty seven dollar or so click on their site, but in general, I wondered if Google reserved the big ones for itself.
Is it worth it? Hell 597$ for 2 hours work, thats a pretty good amount of money there for the time spent working for it.
