    I have a free $50 advertising voucher. But i guess i can't use it because i don't have a credit card which i need for the 5th step. Very cunning by Yahoo.

    I don' t think this is 'cunning', it is not purposeful strategy, it is just an example of the far more common 'oversight' or plain & simple 'incompetence'.

    well would you rather fax a form over, or do other stuff to verifiy who you are ?

    getting a CC on file is a easy way to verifiy who you are - and that your not a bot just trying to burn thought free credits.
