A word of brotherly advice, for what it's worth. Please accept it or toss it freely - at the end of the day, listen to yourself, your true self, and no one else.

That said, I don't see you in this letter at all, and I would presume it is yourself you want to offer, not some concept of yourself. This is all you can be, after all - so honor yourself, honor her. Speak from that, don't try to "win" anything, and let the chips fall where they may. If you come together, you do so coming to know the person across that chasm of skin and nerve, the "self." If it doesn't work out, you'll have learned something more about yourself, and so will have she. Small consolation, I know, at least in the instant. But the things learned resonate on.
