Hi All, I know this is something, no one would like to share but still I would like to know.... how much one can earn from a well maitained PR-3 directory?
Depends on a number of factors. PR, traffic, quality, SE rankings, backlinks, prices all play a big role.

It depends how you promote it. There are a lot of paid directories around that are heavily promoted and have not yet had their toolbar PR updated, and due to PR0 and heavy promotion have had several hundred links submitted.

My very well maintained PR3 web directory is earning around $100 in revenue --and costing $250/m in subscription --not to forget some permanent listings in quality directories.
don't expect more! There are lot of free directories and I run few PR4's for free. I get $0.06 a day on adsense and that is pretty much my earning.
Can't get much with PR3 and you will get some submissions with PR4, although it is not a lot. PR5 and above will put you in a safe zone
Dependent on many factors not least marketing is a key factor it not only shows your commitment but if its 365/24/7. Reviews will follow but you have to be serious with your focus and direction of promotion Many serious Directory Owners get multiple Reviews on new directories but they are trusted to back the support and marketing of the directory
It depend upon many factor like what is design of your site how much you used the adsense and various link in your site mainly what is your site topic or business you deals.
- I don't really think a custom directory script will help you earn more money from your directory. I agree with the folks that say it is all about promotion and if you look like a serious player or not. Many folks will list in a young low page rank directory if they think it will grow into something better down-the-road.
