    These chickenhawks will find a way out of any draft. They will get nice little doctors' notes describing their pilonidal cysts in excruciating detail.

    This is why they won't bother with a draft in real life. They may talk, but if they really institute one, it will be as a last resort. It's too much easier to give money to contractors and increase enlistment bonuses to guys who have a hard time finding gainful employment thaks to the loss of so many real jobs.
