You believe we will be lead "by our King in heaven soon". Do you have a time frame for that? Should I put a mark on my calendar?

You say you see no benefit from choosing a man to lead our country. So it would not matter to you if we elected a Muslim to run this country, or a Mormon?

Only God knows when that time is. Jesus said this himself (Matthew 24:36-42)
However, Jesus gave us signs to look out for when these things were about to occur. We can see these signs happening around us.

Would not matter to me who runs this country. We all have to be subjected to the authorities and go by their rules and laws as long as they don't conflict with God's principles. Hence, why some of us are thrown in jail, persecuted, oppressed or even killed, because we refuse to join armed forces, refuse to fight or even refuse to vote.

No the only difference between the two is one is more fervant and outspoken about their beliefs than the other..

    Evangelical
    And look a little bit closer to what Evangelism is and what Evangelical is;
    Evangelism

BTW - Evangelicals are also a india rock band.

if all men had your beliefs and no one cared who leads their country wouldn't that end either in anarchy or in a dictatorialship?

do you have any evidence of that except your blind belief? After all your religion mislead people to believe the world will end in a certain year quite a few times and they were always wrong.

Their beliefs only matter if they make them a central part of their policies. The fact that the government cut stem cell research due to the president's religious beliefs is appaling to me. Scientists have spent the past few years trying to find a shortcut around this by finding and manipulating other cells that might act as stem cells. They will probably eventually succeed, but the time wasted is costly in terms of human suffering.

I take it from your post that you don't know what stem cells are or what method of harvest was related to "religious beliefs" if that what you call it.

You need to read up on the Dickey Ammendment and how President Bill Clinton in 1995 signs into law the Dickey Amendment which prohibited Federally appropriated funds to be used for research where human embryos would be either created or destroyed. And President Bush in backs up President Clintons and the Dickey Law and vetoes H.R. 810 (Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act), "a bill that would have reversed the Clinton-era law which made it illegal for Federal money to be used for research where stem cells are derived from the destruction of an embryo" - vetoes it on July 19, 2007.

Taken from wikipedia on the subject of Stem Cell.

So it is not a matter of President Bush being ultra religious. But politicians in general. Many politicians can seperate state from church. Look into abortion rights/ammendment. Prohibition of alcohol and the overturn of the ammendment prohibiting the sale of liquor in the US. Gay rights and gay marriages in certain states and or cities. No prayers in school. Taken out "and under God" in the US pledge of allegience.

Yes. This not anything new. Most people already know this. Think Nostradamus.

All men won't believe what I believe so I believe this is a moot point.

Read the interaction between myself and st0x in several p & r threads. This will answer your question. I don't want to go repeating myself.

The irony here is he actually demonstrated he has knowledge of what they are and that science is looking for other ways to find non-embrionic stem cells. So.... you not getting that in his post there even after quoting it.... does that point more to you not knowing?

Re-quoted his comment (emphasis added), you tell me....

I have stem cells in my body and I am not an embryo, if you are healthy you should have stem cells too.

Ok how many births are in the US alone each year. Why can't they get sufficient amount from the births in the US? People need to step up to this. Really and how many abortions are there that they(the medical field) can not retrieve from the abortions. Yet the abortions are pletntiful.

Scratchs head on this one and wonder why there are so many lost misinterpretations of embroyos and stem cells? even when there is a birth? Why cant the medical society retrieve the majority from the births? I always signed a form to do so and I am religious.

There are plenty of places to get the stem cells. But many woman have a choice just like abortion. Men want to make it mandatory, but see past the womans right. Its the womans right to sign the paper during labor to give the cord and the stem cells to science.

I'm disappointed in those responses! Politics is reality. I know how flawed these systems are and how foolish many of the leaders are but, like it or not, they shape the future. Closing yourself to the important (and real) things around you proves my point in my problem with organized religion: people are encouraged, directly or indirectly, to stop thinking and speaking for themselves. A lost vote is a shame, especially when the vote belonged to someone of intelligence.

*cough* *cough* Gore supporter needs to read up on the constitution. If John Edwards were running the year Gore was and he was the front runner. I would have turned tables and ran for the Democrats. I dislike sore losers.

That has nothing to do with what I said at all. Not only that: I'm Canadian and the person I directed that post to is Australian; don't let your American self-importance blind you :)

Yet you do not read through my previous threads. That many politicians think on their own without mingling politics and religion

I'm sorry man, apparently you didn't read what I wrote - I was referring very personally to Col's choice not to vote. The comment was directed at him and had nothing to do with you or anything you've ever written. Seriously. What was it I said about being blind?

Apparently you didnt read Col post. He is from Australia. And posted before the OP was changed.

    #2 I am not a dude. I am a dudette.

#3 You are blind to be insulting to Americans. Get off your American hating seat there. Your insults have nothing to do with the OP.

The point being is many US politicians can make decisions in laws without mingling their reliegious beliefs in them. You apparently can not see that from my previous posts and what many US politicians have chosen that are against relegious beliefs. Such as the abortion and the Alcohol prohibition that was overturned. And gay rights et cetera. Thats what your being blind to. That many politicians do not use their religious beliefs when it involves politics. This is what you are blind to.

I didn't call you a dude. Again with the blindness. As far as everything else you wrote, I agree entirely; many American politicians do not involve their religion with their politics. At no point did I suggest otherwise.

I'd like to see an independent or republican president who had NO religious beliefs.
