About 1 month ago I changed host for www.dirwizard.com to surpasshosting.com. It was fast but recently it becomes slow too. I don't know if this is a temp issue or not. When I submitted a ticket, one staff told me this: I am planning to move host again. Can anybody recommend some host except hostgator? Thank You!
find a host that doesnt oversell their services, like offering unlimited bandwidth for $5 a month i am hosted with www.downtownhost.com - its perfect
Thanks for the recommendation, i will keep that one in mind when buying future hosting, bookmarked it.
I can recommend you Known Host, they are very fast (the loading time), support is great, they answered my emails within minutes and they also transfered my sites for free! ~ Razvan
Dont get me started. Try run a php script that needs a tiny bit of processing......poof the account is gone. I was a member for a long time at www.webhostingtalk.com people get ripped apart if they publicly make it known they are hosted with hostgator. Their support stinks. Thats why i always choose smaller hosts with better staff:customer ratio. The people where i am hosted now know me by name. i go on live support and say hi its mike. They fix my problems straight away
I am hosted with datakl.com and wajahost.com. Both are great, have fast servers. Never had any downtime with them at all.
I am using amitpatel's Host Brains. Though I have reservations about prices --and packages- I am very happy for the fact that - I have to think little about all hosting problems. Amit is there to take care of everything for me. To me --security -and service matters most than any other factor. Its also fast. I have Amit always on IMs --and if he is Off-line- I can get him on the phone.
www.Zone.net are excellent if your in the market for a VPS , highly recommend these guys and I have been with a few hosts.
xc06, when u change your host, just MAKE SURE ITS LOCATED IN THE US, because right now u are doing very good in the serps for "business directory" so be careful ! the location of the server is a very sensitive factor in SEO. cheers.
I do agree... incidentally, I have been at WHT for somewhat a long time and have seen people getting ripped off.. Based on my experience, I would recommend you www.hostmaven.com and www.budgetreseller.com take a reseller account if you have more than 3~4 sites to host.. Both of them are very reliable and trusted hosts.
I can only encourage you to check out zone.net, My website receives between 9,000 and 12,500 unique pageviews a day and I am now at zone.net and their VPS hosting is awesome, not only the speed the my pages now load with, but also the custom support that helped me out with the domain transfer and setting up the VPS. I got the VM-200 Virtual Enterprise Server that comes with 768MB memory, 25GB space and 400GB traffic a month. The server specs are as following: Plesk version psa v8.1.1_build81070423.15 os_FedoraCore 5 Operating system Linux 2.6.9-023stab044.4-enterprise CPU GenuineIntel, Intel(R) Xeon(R)CPU E5345 @ 2.33GHz It is a bit pricey at 65$ a month, but one of their service staff members gave the following promo-code to me: It is FIFTEENOFF and deducts 15% of every monthly amount-payable, leaving this server beast at 55$ a month, which is financially sustainable as long as my dear users continue to click those ads that make sense to them. In contrast to Liquidweb the package I have at zone.net has 256MB more ram at a lower price. Also they have five datacenters to choose from within the United States in contrast to two at LW. I recently got to know while trying to sort out my German .de domains, that they run a special promotions campaign this summer. They got some cool new special deals this summer. Just drop a line if you want to know more.
