Leads By Video - it actually works

    Hey all... I have been testing this new service launched last week... www.leadsbyvideo.com and it actually has had promising results.

    I have added two videos and have had them added to the play list and the videos are getting views and more importantly clicks. I have even had a couple of conversions!

    What leadsbyvideo needs though is volume.... at the moment the traffic volume is relatively low so the videos are not really getting heaps of views but the CTR is very good.

    I recommend all DP members to get on there, ITS FREE, add a video and get it inserted into the playlist.

    I am just letting everyone know because it is a FREE way of getting your name out there and getting some free qualified traffic to your site.

    I really want to hear from anyone who has used LBV and what your results were.

    Can you clarify who exactly watches the videos? I would check it out but I'm at work so I'm restrcited to what I can do.

    I don't fully understand how it works, who watches the videos, why they watch the videos etc.

    Anyone can watch videos... but initially I think it's mainly those that want their video to get air time...

    I tried this and it does not work at all. Just for the fact is the only ones watching these are other webmasters looking to get their video up so most do even pay attention they just wait 30 seconds then click next. Only thing I could maybe see working with this would be something webmaster related since it is targeting I would say around 95 percent webmasters.

    Yes my ad is webmaster related... AdToll.com. So I guess that's why I had some success.

    At the end of the day I do think it's worth a shot.

    Just having a quick look you can see the stats of other videos:

    The lotto ones are pulling 9% CTR;
    Pimpin 11% CTR;
    Site Stealing 8% CTR;
    Hiphop community 4% CTR;
    How to make obscene cash 9% CTR.

    I have been watching it closely... just an area of interest for me.

    The easiest criticism people can give LBV is that only webmasters are watching the videos. On the surface this is probably true. But as I realized after reading their content, there is a big problem with that assumption.

    You forget that webmasters are human and have other interests beyond geeky stuff. So any sort of lifestyle product is just as applicable to webmasters as anyone else. eg games, cars, jokes, finance.

    Webmasters are also much more likely to spend money online that some new commer to the web who has just discovered youtube.

    Youtube marketing is great if you are targeting a young age group with no money... lets face it.

    I took this directly from the LBV website:

    I just received a LeadsByVideo update, the stats are pretty damn good.

    Videos are receiving Click-Thru Rates of up to 20% with the median average being 6.8% and their member feedback indicates LBV traffic is converting to sales at an average of 8.5%.

    My results are congruent, anyone experienced anything different?

    If anyone is interested here is the video created for use on LeadsByVideo - http://blog.adtoll.com/adtoll_video.html

    Just an idea of what can be down and the effectiveness.

    Our video is actually getting views and has a decent CTR... and it cost us nothing.

    Create some very interesting videos with your sites url at the end and then upload it to youtube and you'll get plenty of leads.
