Indian police is not free to act judicially. The top brass of the police are politically appointed. They don't do anything against the religious fanatics, politicians, rich or powerful. Possessing fire arms in India is pretty much useless as "use of fire arms for self defense" is not legal here. Even if it is legal, if you ever use it, you have to bribe the cops with pretty much every thing you have to get yourself out of the police clutches.

Radicals and fanatics of any religion believe that they are absolutely correct about every thing. That is the problem with them.

That's not a problem, in and of itself. It only becomes a problem when those people believe that it is acceptable to utilize coercion to meet their goals.

Consider radical and fanatic sects like the Quakers or the Mennonites. They are radical and fanatic, but they are not a problem for anyone.
