I am not the one to tamper with any stats on my sites --because I take it as my personal challenge to keep all my stats natural including Alexa:eek:

Here is a stat for July

    I have one PR6 site--

    Sitewide links-- $250/m
    Other revenuew $1250/m

    Total- $1500/m

    Traffic -- 5670 UPM

    PR4 site--

    Sitewide links --$75/m
    Other revenuew-$375/m

    Total- $450/m
    Traffic- 3789/UPM

    PR3

    Sitewide- $35/m
    Others - $84/m
    Total- $119/m

    Traffic - 1867/UPM

    New PR0/N/A

    Revenue-- $0000000000000000000000000

    Traffic-- 617/UPM

    Now--please guess it.

If you need to verify the stats --please feel free to PM me--I'll be glad to provide the screen--shots.

But why? I just exchanged links with another Belize site and didn't even look at PR and that site gives me like 15 hits a day. I rather do that than get high PR links that get me nothing and may or may not help me rank.

You sell a PR6 sitewide at $250/month and people buy it too?

    You sell PR4 sitewide at $75/month ?

You sell PR3 sitewide at $35/month?

Are you sure people buy that kinda priced text links?

I think they are total monthly revenue for all the sitewide paid links.

You need to know where to buy for PR and where to buy for traffic. I spend $??? ( sorry don't want to reveal but its in 4 figures) for PR and I get most of my traffic from Google and referrals. I buy PR that automatically brings me traffic from SEs (indirect) -

I sell 10 sitewides on all my sites --and those figures are for 10 sites each. Very cheap. But I have decided to more than double the rate as my traffic is BOOMING.

I understand that when you have PR that you can sell links easily, I do not understand why I should buy them though. And I much rather spend time on links that give me some real traffic NOW rather than waiting for Google. Until today I got no concrete answers from anyone. If Matt says that soon high PR links won't do nothing for me, then why should I buy them unless they give me some traffic that has something to do with my sites?

I manage over 30 websites and none of them have a PR change since over a month ago.

You are thinking far too short term.

    1. Google does not claim to detect ALL paid links - not yet and probably not ever.

    2. I am not claiming that Google detects all paid links. I am stating the obvious in saying that many people who claim to be knowledgeable make it glaringly obvious that they are buying and selling links.

    3. The recent call to report link buying can and will significantly improve Google's ability to algorithmically detect and discount paid links.

    4. The willingness of webmasters and SEO-for-hires to inform on their competitors will help Google to identify sites buying links that are not detected algorithmically. If you doubt this, look around you at your own competitors.

One major flaw in your test is that Matt Cutts has stated that they can and do take away the "authority transfer" of some links, while retaining the "pr transfer." So, you could have a PR6 without the related boost of a PR6.

    Buddy --thanks for your comment.

I am aware of the flaws --and thats what makes it more fun.

there are lots of experiments going on with this site. Being a Directory-- I never showed it to anybody --except very closed friends --and the webmasters I bought links.

Out of the 600+ traffic I received are all organic. Its categories are ranking quite high for their titles.

    On the toher-hand -- I have only 5 listing in it .

    All thses are deliberate --

I want to see --which links are counted--and if traffic and contents are major factor for determining PR.

I am eagerly waiting for this update--but not for any other reasons. I am waiting to find results of my experiment --that is multi-faceted. It would answer lots of questions --atleast to me.

I was selling hundreds of PR2 links for $160 each per month.

You must be looking in the wrong market if you are suprised by these stats.

Thanks for your answers -- I really value them.

On the other hand -you might have mis-understood me about the site I cited.

The site I am experimenting is just for the sake of experiments. You are right-- the recent activity will improve Google's algo and ability. On the other-hand, lots of questions remain un-answered even after that.

My experiment with this site will give me (personally) lots of answers about lots of things-- like effect of traffic/contents etc. on PR.
I don't mind if the site does not even get PR1. But with backlinks update-- It got a cute 250 links counted there.:p I am not sure though if those links are counted for PR.( another of my experiment!). Everything SPECULATIVE & HYPOTHETICAL.

But yes-- I know how to live with the changed environment/situation as I am building organic, natural links for my main site through Viral marketing, Blog posts etc.:) So -no worries at all--just need the update to get results for my experiments.

I'm getting excited about the update, within the last couple days, I've been trying out those predict future pagerank things, all of them are telling me PR5. Hopefully they dont let me down.
