Considered by many to be the brains behind the President, Carl Roves has decided to quit at the end of the month. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6943814.stm
Rats leaving the sinking ship. Haven't you noticed that even the cheerleaders in this forum have their tails between their legs and don't cheer as much? At present time only a moron believes this administration "positive" outlook for future and everyone else takes it as the BS that it is.
Its KARL with a K, and big deal, he decided to spend more time with his family. Who can blame him? http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB118698747711695773-lMyQjAxMDE3ODE2MzkxODM3Wj.html If I made enough money to retire early and spend time with my family, I would do the same...wouldn't you?
Jeeze, I thought Cheney was the "brains"... This thread is about as exciting as Paris Hilton being sent to jail...
Bummer! Bush is a corrupt internationalist. It's a shame that a brilliant consultant like Rove had to work in the white house under him. I like Rove. Hate to see him go.
That's interesting. I think you might be the first person I've known who dislikes Bush but likes Rove. Karl Rove is just about the most disliked man in America who is not currently on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List. Even he knows this. I don't know who the brain is within the White House, but I know the American people are calling for an end to that kind of thinking, or perhaps thinking in general. Perhaps thats why the GOP is trying to paint its frontrunners as Reagan-like candidates
I'm a rare breed politically. I guess I just always enjoyed watching Rove work. He was brilliant in the last election, cranking out press releases to bloggers all night long and keeping the flow of information in perfect harmony. You don't have to like the man, but he's certainly a superb strategist. I've been on a few "secret" conference calls where he talks to conservative bloggers and I've always been impressed with what he has to say. Rove and Bush are two completely different animals. But I think most people hate Rove because he works for Bush. My opinion anyway...
I'll agree he's an excellent strategist. Some guys know how to run a presidential campaign, and some guys just don't. I think John Kerry's campaign manager had lost something like 4 previous presidential campaigns. How he continued to get hired for such a job is beyond me. James Carville is a guy few would suspect was a masterful campaign manager, but he was an absolute spin-artist, and I do mean artist, with the Clinton '92 campaign.
Well there goes 1/2 of Bush's brain power. The other half is Cheney. If Cheney were to go....Bush would spend 24 hours a day riding his bike to clear his brain.
