Did Jesus Himself use to say he was the son of God?

    Muslims say that Jesus was not the son of God, so then why Jesus himslef said he was? Apart from the bible are they any written reocrds which say that Jesus always said this? If yes then according to muslims he was a liar? or was he an impostor?

    He was not liar, He was prophet and prophets never lie. I am pretty much sure he never said that he is son of God.

    Jesus says this himself.

    I told what my religion tells me. He was not a son of God, and since he was prophet he cannot lie. So, what I assume is that he never said something like that. It must be added by some followers later on .. may be in order to give him too much respect, highest designation or something? Islam also tells me that Bible was word of God but a lot of things were changed by the people, it can be one of those things.

    I am not asking you to agree with me, I am just telling my point of view in light of my knowledge.

    I don't think there were any written accounts of Jesus from the time period he lived in. Both the New Testament, the Quran, and other Islamic texts were written after the fact, making it impossible to say which, if any, are correct.

    True, they were not written right away. However, the NT gospels and Paul's letters were written long before the Koran ever was. Remember that Mo had a grudge against Jews and Christians when he was alive...how he got so many people to believe false truths beats the hell out of me...Jesus is the Son of God...he said so on SEVERAL occasions, not just the one Col pointed out. He also referred to himself as the Son of Man.

    Fair comment. However, you can check it for yourself in the Emphatic Diaglott by clicking here. Scroll down to John 17:3. It says it right there. What your religion is teaching you is not what the Bible teaches. Who do you trust more? Man or God? That's a question for every one of us.

    I am the Son of Dog.

    Fear me ye minions, and do my bidding, for I hath spoken through text.

    If the Bible Never Lies, therefore Text written by Holier than Thou morons Never Lies, and therefore I never lie.

    Now tremble at my feet and declare me thy Lord!

    For on the Sabbath ye shall bringeth unto me cheese for the alter sacrafice. With Nacho Chips... and Salsa. Mild. Not Hot, for only Satan and Jews eat of the forbidden Hot Sauce.

    This, your Lord, Son of Dog, have commanded, and thou shalt do it! Or forever will you be cursed to be reincarnated as...

    " 155- Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Signs of Allah, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: "Our hearts are wrapped" - nay, Allah has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.

    156- And because of their (Jews) disbelief and uttering against Mary a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse);

    157- And because of their saying (in sarcastic boast), "We killed Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of Jesus was put over another man(whom they did kill), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they did not kill him

    158- But Allah raised him [Jesus] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he alayhis-salaam is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All Powerful, All Wise.

    159- And there is none of the People of the Scripture (jews and Christians), but must believe in him [Jesus, son of Mary, as only a Messenger of Allah and a human being], before his [Jesus alayhis-salaam or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he [Jesus] will be a witness against them

    well people can believe whatever they want - the question for this thread is "Did Jesus Himself use to say he was the son of God?" and the answer is yes.

    I think its funny that the Koran talks about Mary's sex life, yet when the supposed prophet Mo married a 9 yr. old girl (when he was in his 50's....what a pedophile), nothing gets said...how interesting.

    Our Father, which art in Heaven,
    Hallowed be thy Name.
    Thy Kingdom come.
    Thy will be done,
    in earth as it is in Heaven.
    Give us this day our daily bread.
    And forgive us our trespasses,
    As we forgive them that trespass against us.
    And lead us not into temptation;
    But deliver us from evil.
    [For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory,
    For ever and ever.] Amen.

    "Our Father, which art in Heaven" this is how the prayer starts.

    A lot of people believe that we are all children of God.
