But not the sentiments of Taslima Nasreen and those who support and agree with her. And not the sentiments of those who believe that Islamic blasphemy law does not and should never supersede modern laws based on the principles of free inquiry and free speech.

And I don't know what the Hindu nationalists to that pig Hussain who painted Hindu Gods in obscene fashion. Seems Muslims are wagging their tails here more than in any other country.

Its nice to hear you condemn what Hussain did in such strong words, even when you are a Christian. What are your thoughts about what Taslima did? And that old cartoonist that drew Muhammad (PBUH).

My point is why didn't that Hussain get thrashed, he did it in India much before Taslima came here.

    http://www.sanatan.org/en/05/Protests/MFHusain/paintings.php

All this happened much before the Danish cartoons, Taslima episode. I wonder why not one single Muslim has criticized him for his deeds.

I'm first Indian and then a Christian and we have traditions just like the Greeks and Romans. Really can't say what Taslima did cos I haven't read the book yet but that's freedom of expression in my opinion and, if Hussain can get away with it, then why not Taslima? Protests can happen but why did the men thrash her and why have the same men spared Hussain. That's because they are Muslims first, no importance to nationality in this regard.

Looks like Pig is your favourite dish :D
I condemn painting of Hussain since it hurt the masses of people. AT the same time i condemn Tasleema's writing and the cartoons on the very same principle of hurting the masses of people.

Dilip do you Condemn all these incidents for the same reason? And will you call your favourite word "Pig" for taslima and danish Cartonist?

Or do you have double standards?

You condemn just online. None of your people whether in India or Pakistan come out in the open and protest when your own people are on the wrong side.

You said: "Looks like Pig is your favorite dish"

I say: Not mine but it was Mohd Ali Jinnah's dish, if not his favorite. (You get what you give and you had it coming to you!!!)

What double standards? The Hussain episode started long time ago. Did you condemn him then? Any proof for your condemnation? I'm so surprised at the sudden change of heart in you Astire.

My point is since lot of these Muslims get into controversy and get away with it, you must also tolerate Taslima and the Danish Cartoonist.

I don't condemn anyone for exercising their freedom of speech.

I do condemn the morons who believe that they can improve the world by refusing to allow people to speak or write about its faults.

Muslims are a bunch of lunatics. They dont know their OWN religion and act like fundamentalists, this is reality! If i were in the shoes of Taslima Nasreen, i would have fought with those muslims.

Muslims should be out of INDIA, they should be kicked to their country pakistan!

You are artist of spinning the topic. I just asked your thoughts, and you told me long story which I already knew.

In Taslima case, you said: "that's freedom of expression in my opinion" -- right?

And in Hussain case, you said: "..that pig Hussain who painted Hindu Gods in obscene fashion"

Can you smell hypocrisy and double-standard? I do.

    You didn't EVEN condemn online.

Who is worst? He or You? You decide.

Anyone who called (or calls) Hussain paintings as freedom of speech is a retard without a doubt. I doubt if that person (Akhtar?) will call this freedom of speech when someone draw his mother naked. Idiotic bastards.

I am also a big fan of freedom of speech, but as long as it doesn't hurt other people's sentiments, doesn't disgrace religious beliefs, doesn't disregard their cultural aspects, their race etc etc.

    Good one. :D

You are more coward than Taslima, she at least have courage to do that and is facing the situation somehow.

You are nothing but a keyboard worrier, who cam talk anything while sitting safe and relaxed in your bedroom. If you think you have balls, why don't you rewrite what Taslima did? And lets see what you do after you are in same situation as of Taslima.

Being a MAN (and ability to "fight") need courage, not a personal computer. :D

Then you are definitely NOT a fan of freedom of speech.

Here are a few quotes from people smarter than you are:

Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. It passes my comprehension how human beings, be they ever so experienced and able, can delight in depriving other human beings of that precious right -- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Force, violence, pressure or compulsion with a view to conformity, are both uncivilized and undemocratic. -- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. -- George Orwell

What is ominous is the ease with which some people go from saying that they don't like something to saying that the government should forbid it. When you go down that road, don't expect freedom to survive very long. -- Thomas Sowell

You are mixing up personal/ community opinion in one! India is a democratic country unlike pakistan or other arab countries which are islamistic ountries, where only what prophet says stays! In india, everybody has the RIGHT to speak out, until and unless it doesnt effect a human being in a personal way! I dont disrepct/respect MF hussain coz he painted nude women, coz its his art. If he had gone ahead and painted a picture of a persons mother, we can take him to court because its hurting someones personal sentiments. There was some uproar in the hindu community when he painted hindu goddesses, but they didnt stop him from continuing his work and beating him. It just shows the patience hindus have, contrary to MUSLIMS who again i want to assert that, are a BUNCH of idiot/stupid people.

sitting on a computer doesnt make one coward, it makes him way more powerful. Yes iam typing this sitting in my cosy bedroom, but it in no way measures my big large my balls are ;)

Its not a retard speech, btw can u please list out some acheivements muslims made? not in india, but anywhere in the world? Other than APJ abdul kalam, whom i personally hate. There is NO one who you can think of, aint it ;)

You was crying about kicking all Muslims out of India, I see that like snatching basic human right of living from someone.
Is that what you call democracy?

If yes, I'd better stay away :)

yes, yes. I am understanding that from your posts.

...but fantasizing the fight just by sitting on computer does make one coward. Fighting in real is different that what you have been doing in video games.

But again, it does measure when you say something but don't take a single step for doing it PRACTICALLY.

You were talking about fighting Muslims, kicking them out of India ... its exactly same what Shiv Sena says. Even though they are wrong, but they at least have balls and doing that practically .. awake the man inside you and join Shiv Sena .. otherwise, you don't have balls and you are merely a keyboard worrier.

Not in India? Why not in India? When we are talking about kicking Muslims out of India?

And if you go global, I can list 100s of achievements contributed by Muslim scientists, scholars, doctors, Social workers etc etc...

I'd like to see that list.

The adoption of Islam appears to cause the end of technical and social advancement for a culture.

The U.S. issues over one hundred thousand patents a year. Iran and Saudi Arabia, two leading Islamic nations, both issue fewer than ten.

This has an enormous negative financial imact also. The collective Gross National Product of the all Muslim countries put together stands at $1,200bn. The GNP of Germany alone is $2,500bn and the GNP of Japan is $5,500bn.

By prohibiting criticism, Islam prevents change. By preventing change, Islam prevents growth.

Being an agnostic, I feel every religion closes mind, and prevents changes and progress. Islam is not alone...

But its not about religion. It's about individual Muslim people.
Do you agree that every Muslim should be kicked out of your country simply because they are Muslims regardless of their contribution to your country?
