Hello I own a site which has got sizable amount of pageviews per user. an average of about 10 pages per user. I have a banner ad in the top most location. I find that im loosing lot of impressions bcoz th user navigates pretty quickly. and still the ad has not loaded. Is there any way to make the ad appear first and then the page?
yeah its called an interstitial, and its served by adbrite if you want to use your own network, you should get an interstitial script, which is pretty hard to find. I have one, but not with master resale rights, and I won't give it away to you
im not talking about interstitial ads.. i am loading my adbrite ads in iframe and tht iframe takes too mcuh time to load. which i in the top. is there a method to make tth iframe load first and other parts of the page?
i was just guessng tht it cud be the prob tht iam not getting impressions for the ad compared tot eh pageview and i too sometimes get the iframe loading pretty slowly from adbrite sever.ads....resulting in the whole page being slow.or me no getting my impressions for the ads
It could be slow servers from the ad company. I know my clicksor ads don't load right away it shows a black spot then a few seconds later the ads will drop in.
ya it is because of the slow ad server!! when i contacted adbrite they said they r hacing some issues and the speed will be back..still its the same.. so thats why im asking is there anyway to load the iframe in the begining of the pageload and then the body content..so i get the impresssions..even if it takes the page time to load
There isn't really a way to make the ads load faster even if you put them in an iframe it's still going to take however long to load from their server.
ok now leave the ad loading from the iframe slowly part!! is there a way to make the any iframe load first and then te page?
yes, there is a possible way, i am at work at the moment and cant remember, how exactly i got one of my sites to load the banner first
I see a possible solution here : On your page, set the content to be hidden (in a DIV, style="display: none;" ). Then on the iFRAME, set an onload javascript that shows the previously hidden DIV ... Result -> The content is hidden (but still loads) until the IFRAME is loaded, which then updates the content to be visible.
