I saw some ssangyongs on the street but they look like shit and judging by the crappy safety score they always get they shouldn't even be allowed to be sold iun Europe
i forget the taxi names, but they are chinese cars, and also mg rover are chinese cars and soon you will see chery/saic/gwm
I am from Mumbai, India. I have yet to see a chinese car make hit the roads of mumbai. I have not heared of any such type of car, so far.
How do you know if they're Chinese cars? lol. Our cars here are Adventure, Revo, etc. I don't know how to know which ones came from China xD
Hmm I heard about them going to show up here in the Philippines. As of right now, they have not yet appeared. xD
Ssang Yong is Korean not Chinese. A huge number of Honda's, VW's, Nissan's and BMW's are made in China. Don't see what the problem of Chinese cars is. Obviously quality is not a problem is the previous cars are accepted. I guess it is people are worried about Chinese technology? Chinese are ahead of many others in the technology field for some industries. I don't see what the problem is.
yes and no.. the past 2 importers/dealers started here in Belgium, but after about a month they had to stop selling them because the cars didn't do well in crash tests..
These are still european cars, made by european designers/companies to their rules. It doesn't really matter where they are assembled (ok maybe a bit quality-wide, but not safety-wise). And these are made in china for a local market, they don't export them to the usa/europe (a few exceptions made). With chinese cars people mean the cars that are developed by chinese car manufacturers (Geely, Jiangling, Shenyang, Brilliance..).
When Germany's ADAC testing agency tested China's Brilliance BS6 sedan, it came back with a 1-star rating. A person crashing this car at 40MPH would likely not survive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9RbZyrJQ4g here's another one: the Chery Amulet. Sold mostly to unsuspecting Russians for about €6,500, this thing is about as safe as a homemade submarine. I'll stick to walking, thanks. http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/354/C13091/ A few European car dealerships have already scrapped the Brilliance BS6 based on the crash results, we only hope the rest follow!
