A good Affiliate program to bundle with software?

    Hi,

Not sure if this has been asked before, apologies if it has been.

Does anyone know of a good affiliate program that can be bundled with software?

Here's the deal... I'm developing a software which my users can download - shareware, registration etc. are part of it... but I'm also thinking of bundling it with another add-on for a link (such as, say, buying movie tickets online from fandango.com), which will go and quietly sit on their browser or desktop till they want to use it. Yes, they can opt out of installing the add-on and install only the software I'm giving. Probably many people are using this already.

I do not want the program to be something which keeps popping up banners on the user's desktops which will make them run away from me. I'm looking for something good to help them with, plus make me affiliate money when they use the service. Buying movie tickets online is a good option I think, but I'm open for more suggestions.

I know fandango.com is good, but I have only one problem with it - CJ ask for a website, which I do not have at the moment.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Sax.

What type of software is it. This will help us narrow down the best affiliates.

Well, it's basically a screensaver/calendar/organizer - I'm still working on it though on what good additional features could be included.

Part of it is a free screensaver which can be downloaded and installed from a website based on themes they like. (I do not have a website as yet for this, but looking for a wordpress/blogspot blog because it is easy to categorize there).

The calendar and organizer part is fixed. It will take a while before I finish it, but essentially that's it :) .

Zango.com are the best for pay-per-install.

    Hi,

Not pay-per-install progs... I've seen them actually, including Zangocash, but not sure if they would add any real value to my users. Besides, many people use it already, so it will get saturated a while later.

I was thinking of something in the line of buying movie tickets or ordering pizza/food online, or even buying airline/railway tickets, just on the click of a button. I have seen a google toolbar button created by someone for buying movie tickets from fandango.com. It would just be a button on the toolbar, which would sit there until someone uses it. Now, if I could give such an addon as an optional install to my users, they would find it useful and might install it - which would bring me affiliate money in turn every time they use it. I don't mind coding to get it working with google toolbar, but I'm looking for a reliable program which I can use.

My main problem is not having a website, otherwise I would happily go with Fandango. But they affiliate through CJ, and CJ needs me to have a website unfortunately, which I don't have :(.

sign up for a website now, put a little bit of content on it, get someone to submit to a bunch of directories and link build, and then when you are finished with your software, you will be ranking well in google already! Seriously, even if you don't have the content. It can take time to rank well in google so you might as well start now...
