Hey Guys and girls, I need some help in advertising my arcades sites. I have 2 with 3 more being built can anyone suggest where are some of the best ways to help drive traffic to my site. Free and $$ all is welcome. I have one which is 15 month old but I would like to increase the traffic on it plus help drive traffic to my new ones.. any suggestions is welcome.
refined is right...go get links on high ranking similar arcade sites....forget seo. That will come with your high ranked links... Think web 2.0 1st, then seo 2nd. Its the newest trend and works FAST.

How about online games? Sponsor a game that a developer has made - pay them money to put your adverts in their game. Then have the game on your site to make your site more sticky, and provide the game free for other people to put on their sites. The game on other people's sites = referrals to your site. And if you can get a really good, novel game then your traffic could go through the roof. A few servers have been taken down with traffic when someone made a novel game that went viral.
Can you give me some advice on where how for myspace? I haven't used them before. Nor do I have a myspace account.
If your target is the teenage crowd, create a myspace, facebook, hi5... etc a/c and join the groups. E.g. if your site is about topic X, join group that is interested in that topic. Just search DP for Myspace and you will find a lot of threads
Id probably say MySpace might work for your niche, i havent actually used this myself though. Basically what you can do is pay someone to send out 'bulletins' these people have thousands upon thousands of 'friends' and you pay per thousand bulletins etc... They're quite cheap, search for myspace bulletins and try it out, i wouldnt usually recommend this but i think it could work for an arcade site...
I would say that funklicks.com is the best arcade banner exchange. There's a lot of those exchanges out there but you need to be careful and keep an eye on your statistics. Some simply fudge their stats and it can be very obvious. The marketplace for arcades is kinda flooded and the market place for arcade banner exchanges is getting very crowded too.
i am looking for some traffic suggestions for my new arcade. need some help to get it of to a start. i can do some marketing on myspace for any one in exchange for links or any other help that i can get to promote my new arcade. am thinking of buying links on some high traffic arcades. also i need some help to get more content on the site.
what are most prefred arcade banners sites. i already have arcadebanners.com on my site but i dont see it getting too many clicks. need some more info on where do i look for more info on this one.
I would also like to know this as most game developers do allow your to make games for your website where you include your logo and things, but do not allow your to distribute them on other sites. The reasons for this is because if they make a game and you pay them x amount of pounds and then distribute it, other sites will then not need to purchase the game of them as they would already have it.
