Hi, Yes, this all happened out of stupididy, and I'm really really annoyed with myself. The thing is, that it rained really really heavily, and I left the window opn . I was downstairs watching TV, and meanwhile it was getting soaked. I come back and wipe all the water off it. It wont start. At this point, I'm not so much worried about my laptop, as what my dad is going to say when he finds out. Thank god, he didn't seem to worry too much. He says let it dry out, and so long as the water was clean it should be OK. Is that right? -Hecky
Yes but you shouldn't try to turn it on till the water is completely dry. If you tried to turned it on when the water is still there then for sure it won't work. Anyway Good luck.
When you have dried it, just go to a nearby service center. They will be more specific on the solution And dont start it till they confirm that its safe. Regards, ~KMKM
I think it will work after getting dried and having a good service. Place it in sunlight You got a nice lappy. I am no proud of mine
THat laptop looks very expensive... ITHat would be my pride and joy if I had it too.... BTW...how much is the price of that laptop????
Let it dry and turn it on, should work properly Never turn it on, when it's wet, remember that next time. Especially, not if you have it plugged directly.
It was sunny all day, and I left it on my desk..which is usually dry even when it rains but this was serious rain It's been about 6 hours now, since the dreadful event took place...is it ready? I'm using my PC now.
i had sick on my laptop, wouldnt work, and after a day about i tried turning it on again and it was fine! im sure if it was just water it will be fine. believe me i was worried as mine cost £1600/$3200!!!!
If I was you, wait atleast overnight. At the end of the day, it's better to wait a few hours than break the whole laptop! I'm hopefully getting a laptop soon, £999 X_X

Yeah, those specs pretty much match, except it's smaller and lighter, therefore has a smaller screen. It's the sony screens that I like also "vaio" sounds so cool Our 40" TV is sony, as well as blu-ray disk player. We like them, a well built and trusted make.
