Paid Link_Building_Services (aka queo.net aka source2us.com) for a batch of supposed "quality forum link posts" to my site a couple months ago (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=398406). After a long wait, today I receive the spreadsheet details of my (finally) completed job. Here's my notes on the results, me checking each forum that he posted on and attempted to link to my site from. If you're considering doing business with this guy, be careful. It should also be added that while I paid to use multiple anchor texts, the anchor text was not altered once. None of the forums were event remotely relevant to my site's topic matter. Of the posts that somehow stuck and are still up, 9/10 posts were very poorly written, obviously spammy, very very short, or all of the above at once. A large portion of the forums that use querystrings as noted below were also passing things like sessionid's and whatnot as well, making them further useless for SEO purposes. I had used him in the past for a project that he seemed to do OK on, although I did not check things as thoroughly as I did this time. In addition to giving your website a bad reputation on the communities he is spamming, you get very little for your money. 1 Can't see signature links unless you have 10 posts or more 2 PR0, all forum links use querystrings 3 PR2, all forum links use querystrings 4 PR4, SEO friendly links 5 Can't access site, says "account suspended" 6 PR4, SEO friendly links 7 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 8 PR0, all forum links use querystrings 9 PR2, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED, caught as a spammer from another topic 10 PR4, SEO friendly links 11 PR5, forum signature links not permitted/don't display 12 PR4, can't see posts unless you're logged in 13 PR3, can't see signature links unless you are a user with 1 post or more 14 PR5, SEO friendly links 15 PR4, SEO friendly links 16 PR6, all forum links use querystrings 17 PR3, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED 18 PR5, all forum links use querystrings 19 PR4, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED, banned user 20 PR3, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: banned user, noted spammer, no sig link showing 21 Duplicate forum, this one is already listed above 22 PR4, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED 23 PR4, all forum links use querystrings 24 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 25 PR4, all forum links use querystrings 26 PR1, all forum links use querystrings 27 PR3, SEO friendy links 28 PR0, all forum links use querystrings 29 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 30 PR5, all forum links use querystrings 31 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 32 PR4, SEO friendly links 33 Firefox can't find the server at forum.yaxay.com 34 PR0, all forum links use querystrings 35 PR4, SEO friendly links 36 PR3, SEO friendy links NOTE: A sticky topic is in this forum stating no more sig links due to spammers 37 PR0, all forum links use querystrings 38 PR5, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED 39 PR7, all forum links use querystrings 40 Duplicate forum, this one is already listed above 41 Duplicate forum, this one is already listed above 42 PR4, all forum links use querystrings 43 PR2, all forum links use querystrings 44 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 45 PR5, all forum links use querystrings 46 PR1, all forum links use querystrings 47 PR4, SEO friendly links 48 Double duplicate forum, this one is already listed twice above 49 PR3, all forum links use querystrings 50 PR2, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: No forum sig links visible 51 PR2, all forum links use querystrings NOTE: Topic DELETED 52 PR5, all forum links are REL=NOFOLLOW
I got screwed by this guy too, he took my money and then disappeared. Luckly I only tried a small trial package. Would still like to find the guy did anyone note down what his email address was or what his websitye is?
The reason you got good results in the past and crappy results now is because All forum software now have mods to prevent forum spamming with scripts. Very few useful links can be obtained this way now. Thats why these jackasses are selling the service instead of using it themselves. I own a car forum. Mods are installed, and 0 spam post get through to the threads, but I still have to log into admin every day and delete a dozen accounts these aholes try to create. Its work I shouldnt have to do. Legit members now have to wait for me to activate their account, they have to go through image verification to sign up, and many useful features in the form now cant be used. If your using this method to get traffic, do it with the understand that your making life miserable for a lot of people.
I used to have to do this, however if you simply modify your login form by adding a *unique* field that must be filled in before the user can continue, it prevents spambots registering. I simply put "Is this site called XXXXXXX.com" and set the box to "No" as default and made it so it has to be "Yes" to accept it. Its pretty simple to do....which BB system are you using?
This guy is a scamster - he took my money and did not build a single link for me. Anybody else got scammed? Know how to reach him? Afraid to say, yes, I did. A newbie to DP forums, I wasn't able to discern the difference of a scammer and a seo pro. It was an expensive lesson-a very expensive lesson-to learn.
That's funny. It appears that he has 55 positive itraders. Possible he tried to outsource the work and ended up with the mess.
He should have just done the work himself. A lot of people try to outsource, and when the people they hire fail, then they should take the responsibility for it. Still, he should have just refunded the money if he couldn't pull it off.
normally people will give itrader right after sent the payment for the products or the service. they dont even check that the service the bought s good as they said or not. that maybe the reason why he got 55 good positive itrader.
Update - I filed a dispute with Paypal and got a full refund. He tried to talk me out of it by offering me 50 free links or some shit like that but I stood my ground. I escalated the claim staright away and Paypal locked the finds in his account. I had also given Paypal a link to this thread and his forum profile (which proved that this guy was a scamster). All of those who have been scammed by this guy should do the same. His website url now is http://www.source2us.com and his email addresses are and Here's a transcript of the mails excahnged:
I don't understand why people do that sort of thing if you are promoting your business why not do the job properly in the first place then surely you will get more business???? its not difficult obviously he doesn't care about his business succeeding just wants quick money!!!
The business model doesn't work and not many link builders do a good job. The time to build high quality links outweighs the costs involved.
