Hello, I was just wondering why I see so many of the same avatars here on DP? I know that people sell sig space and possibly home page link space but do they sell avatar space? I see alot of the same avatars belonging to different people. I also see alot of similar avatars, such as the robot "Bender", belonging to many different people. So what's up, is is a clique thing, a group thing, a sold space thing or what? Cheers, GG
Haha, well, the Bender thing was just a fad that happened a while ago, although I still see some people that have those avatars. Yes, people also sell avatar space here, so don't be too surprised to see a lot of the same avatars used by different people.
Ahh, thank for the info Computerized. I didn't realize people sold Avatar space... I guess nowadays people sell/buy anything, plus I'm sure it does help to spread your product or business. I've wondered about the Bender thing for a while. I see it on other forums too.. I just always thought there was a "Bende Mafia" LMAO
Yes some people have the same avatars because they like the same things. The Bender avatars are an example of that. Some do sell their avatar space...mine for instance, and I have seen a few people with the same ripen apples avatar around! I also use my own avatar image when I'm not selling the space and I will probably change it...avatar space is like your computer's wallpaper, some people change it a lot, others never change it.
i sold my avatar, so it was someone's ad for a while. but when I reached Tauren status I put up a pic of a tauren, and I don't know why I'm the only one who has done this.

I came here with ulterior motives. It took me a while to realise the value of the place. Then I got stuck in B/S/T for a while. Then I started finding some of the cool people here... And now I'm addicted!
