What the hell are you talking about? Anyways for the millionth time, I'm not hosted with a free host. To twinklestar... that's an awfully stupid thing to say. Whether or not their own websites goes down is not relevant. What's relevant is how it affects me, and it's affecting me negatively. Anyways zinruss I run IPB on my server and there's no way I would have the time or knowledge to check each and every file out of the probably thousands. I got a pm from him literally 25 minutes after I went to bed... now I'm online and he is not so I can't respond which makes me angry. The thing that pisses me off is that my site is still offline. That was at 3:30am. Now it's 12:55pm. Shortly seems a little longer for some reason. So reading his pm, should I stay with http://www.xzorbix.com, or not?
You sure are making yourself look bad dude.. I'd stop checking this thread and go get a real host. You're just bitching and moaning from what I see. Maybe if you spent this energy on selecting a good host, your site wouldn't be down I suggest www.fluidhosting.com Zero down time, excellent support.
Sorry to hear that you think I look bad but that's really your loss you know. If people can relate to me then great but if they are offended then they shouldn't waste my time or theirs. Like I said... it's their loss. Most of the forums I frequent allow swearing and since swearing is allowed here (mods swear at me all the time!) then I see no reason why I should constrain myself. In this situation I need a bit of help so I edited the swearing out to suit the overly-sensitive people. I do not condone their lifestyle though. Moving on, Fluid Hosting is one of the most expensive hosts I've seen so far. Like I said I'm on a budget of around $5 a month for hosting. I don't see what checking a forum has to do with having a bad post. I would think that especially asking the question "does anybody have a good host to suggest" that checking this thread would be the ideal thing to do, wouldn't you agree? I've got bundles of time but there's nothing I can do until my site comes back online. That way I can get the most recent back-up.

I did live in a shelter. I was on welfare. I am now living with my family in Ottawa but for the better half of the end of 2006 I was homeless. I even kept a blog. I made it private since then but I can temporarily allow public access if it's going to be an issue. And to conquer the almighty issue of how did I update it if I was homeless... libraries have computers with internet you can use for free you know... Why do you say it is a scam? What proof do you have that I am lying? Isn't it innocent until proven guilty? I'm willing to go as far as digging through my old shit for welfare cheques or something I have that will prove that I am telling the truth. This matters to me because I don't want people to think I'm a scammer, a fraudulent businessman, or anything along those lines. You are probably just one of those losers at NamePros who never got along with me simply because our opinions differed. To give you an idea of the types of idiots that use NamePros as their watering grounds, I was shunned from the community initially simply because I owned the domain name GayRights.be and everybody started spreading rumours that I was gay. Just for the record (not that it should matter in the least bit) I'm straight. Some people in the domain name and internet community think that sexual orientation matters in business so if it will prevent problems in the future then there you have it. Even -RJ- (the admin of namepros) bought one and he can confirm that I am not a scammer. He told me this one time that he was humming the lyrics to one of my song and his wife told him to shut up... hahaha never gonna forget that. Irrelevant as it may be, I sold a few albums that way actually so stop with your fucking lies. "A nice chunk of change"? Wow... So I think I'm going to stop now and let people read and decide for themselves what they think. A lot of people formed grudges against me (including another administrator Mark) when I was there and it seems that some people are too immature to let them go, that they've gotta start spreading rumours and ruin somebody's business reputation. Exactly what I was going to say. If you haven't paid for a service that would normally cost money, then that people providing that service should have the right to pull it away anytime they want, right? And I'm sure they didn't do it intentionally if their own site was down, maybe they're using shared hosting and their host let them down. And everytime you swear, it just makes you look that much immature.
I got this email from my original host a little while ago: So this is the part where I decide to stay with my current host (who is working on the problem and will give me 2 months free), my old host (who has been hacked apparently but is free with a benner) or look for a better host. I think I'm either gonna stick with the new one and ride that out making daily back-ups, or invest some time in looking for a better host. Thanks.
I'm not saying you scammed people by not sending their CD's to them. I'm saying you frauded them by making you think you were homeless. I looked and did a little investigation to the claims you were making that you homeless. Unless there are 24 hour libraries up there, then you were not at libraries. You posted different hours each day - day and night. I'm pretty sure the last thing someone would do would be to make a blog about being homeless - shouldn't you be working or finding shelter rather than making a blog?
What's wrong with making them think I'm homeless? If I was homeless (which I was and I can provide proof if it really calls for it) then there should be absolutely no problem. There are not 24 hour libraries, no. A library isn't the only place I could use a computer though. Other places available to me included a friends house, my current girlfriends house, another friends house, and eventually the shelter. Anyways that post right there shows how little you know. Get this through your head: I FOUND A JOB THE SECOND DAY I WAS HOMELESS. I also got into a shelter eventually. I had been looking for a shelter to stay almost from day one and if you read that thread then you would know about my experiences with shelters. I eventually did get in one but it only allowed 14 people at a time and that's basically why it took so long... was usually full. Writing a blog post takes 5 minutes... so I guess I'm guilty of the almighty sin of only spending 23 hours and 55 minutes looking for a job and trying to get into a shelter. SORRY! What do you have to say for yourself? Why are you so concerned with me? If you are so obsessed with me you should really just ask for my msn and we can have a nice friendly talk. I don't feel the same way about you since you obviously are out to get me for some strange and perverted reason. So looks like you failed in that category. Listen... just leave me the fuck alone. what kind of website do you have? its going to be nearly impossible to find a decent host for $5/mon to host your IPB if you really cared about your website, maybe you should increase your budget to at least $40
After less than a minute of looking the first thing I could find in my old bag was this letter of recommendation from my school guidance counselor. Here's the front page. That should be all that's needed to see that I am telling the truth. I thought about sending it only to the accuser, but now that he's made this a public ordeal I think I have the right to prove to everybody that I am a legitimate businessman, and not a scammer. So now I'd love to hear what you have to say for yourself Fewski. Edit 4 Viperxx: I really do care about my website but I am currently unemployed. I doubt my budget should be $40 considering I was doing great with A Small Orange at only $5 a month. They are very professional and have a great reputation. fluidhosting is the best host I've had in 5 years. You think it's expensive ? Well that's probably because most host that your looking at are over selling. The point is, you get what you pay for.. I believe I said that on the first page ?? Go with hostgator if you want cheap hosting. They offer plans around 5$ a month Cheers btw, who cares what your consular said about ya ? I thought this was about using free hosting ??
To cyanide, yes I read your post. To Loco.M: somebody accused me publicly of being a scammer in this thread and this letter is proof that I am not. If you don't know the situation then it's best that you just move on since the letter won't make sense to you then. Anyways KiranHost didn't oversell and neither did ASO.
then go with one of those host I wouldn't be jacking around in this thread if my sites had been done more then 1 HOUR, how many days has your site been down ? If your looking for a host, a marketing site really isn't the best place to search.. Try webhostintalk, Do some research on the host you pick so you don't have to look again in 3 months with this host sucks.
Hey Taylor Hewitt: My advice is to get a VPS server. Its better than shared server, but cheaper than a dedicated server. I was on shared hosting with hostgator for about a year, good service, but my sites demanded more CPU usage. My main job is web designing, however, I am in the process in expanding into other stuff such as hosting, SSL, ect... I purchase my VPS in August 2006 and love it since then.
