What?? Can you not read? For a third time: Yes. If she had asked me. Yes. I would not lie about what it says in the Bible about this.
What does the explanation of your beliefs mean to me? Probably something similar to what you think about mine
God does heal amputees....the thing that we know as a living body is merely a carrier for our souls. When we die, this carrier may no longer exist, but our souls still do. The body rots, but the soul is the one thing that can never die. There are lots of theological discussions about this, and I would be happy to provide some resources if you would want them.
He doesn't heal amputees. Never has a single case been recorded that shows someones arm or leg growing back, yet there are countless cases of people spitting in the face of a doctor after all the hard work he done and claiming that they are the ones who cured a disease by praying.
Fully. But it still doesn't explain why he cures people with cancer while the are in the physical body and not amputees.
According to the The Watchtower organization and their Bible, modified to fit Jehovah Witness theology: Without the Watchtower "help" or changes to the Bible you will not conclude the above using only the Bible. Col, please clarify in your posts that you are presenting Jehovah Witness doctrine.
Ermm...My posts as based on what the Bible teaches. You do read the Bible don't you? So, you would rather go with a translation that is inaccurate huh? Why should I need to clarify anything? You have just clarified it yourself I have nothing to be ashamed of. However, it seems you think I do! Col
Your posts are based on what the Watchtower teaches and how they revised the Bible to fit their doctrine. I may have mentioned that my brother-in-law was encouraged by his father, a Watchtower member, to read the Bible and he would become a member also. His father was urgent in his plea since it was the mid seventies and the Watchtower had most of its members thinking the world was going to end. He didn't join the organization, the world didn't end, and his theology is very much biblical. I am just saying that you should say something like "the Watchtower teaches" or "according to Jehovah Witness beliefs". There is an organization that parrallels your movement that is much more open about who they are and send their people out with badges on that say LDS and have bumper stickers saying things about family and LDS. Why not be as open as they are?
Ok here is a short answer to those who look into the scriptures 1 john 5:19 The whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one. No wonder it's all goofed up. The "long" answer is coming right after ha ha
Are you saying I am not open to people? Let's not forget that I willingly go knocking on people's doors for at least 70 hours per month and declare exactly who I am and who I am representing. I have nothing to hide and in no way am hiding who I am or what I am about in these forums. You are making false accusations here and is unwarranted. What some people some people thought and did back in the 70's bears no resemblance to what I do today, or for the last 4 years of my life as a Jehovah's Witness. Even just this morning I was talking to people about Jehovah's Kingdom in a few streets. I gave them my name, told them I was a Jehovah's Witness and told them the reason why I was there talking to them and showing them what the Bible really teaches. Is this hiding? Hardly!! What other people do with their doctrines is their business and not mine. I don't try to stop them from doing what they are doing. What they do with their lives is their decision. Therefore, my posts (again) are what the Bible teaches. Yes, the Watchtower magazines do follow along with the teachings of the Bible. But the Watchtower is not the authority and never has been, no matter what people say or do. The Bible is the authority and should always be. That's where my beliefs lie. Do you understand that point? Col
Yes, state that you are a JW and you are presenting the Watchtower's point of view. I understand your point. I am just asking that you state that you are presenting the position of the Watchtower and their doctrine adjusted Bible. I see Athesits Muslims, Sikhs, Mormons, Catholics and Christians stating what they are for clarity. Just state that you are presenting the JW position.
SEO services I really pity you. You cannot think for yourself. Shame on your parents for what they did to you i really do feel sorry for you. Now regarding the topic of this thread. The amputee argument is weak. Even though i do not support the worshiping of god i will however point of the weakness of the amputee argument. What evidence is there that god never saved an amputee? If i argue on the side of faith (which pains me to do) then i can easily say that god either does or does not save someone from having to have a limb amputated. The saving is not by growing a limb back but from preventing it to be chopped off in the first place. BTW SEO services. Why have you not commented on my appeal to reason thread?
