How to promote site using social community website ?

I have read all over DP, people are getting plenty of visitors from sites like myspace, facebook, orkut, etc. My question is HOW ?
Just sending people messages or scraps wont get you banned ?

 

You have to get friends on each site. Most of the social bookmark sites do well for humor or pictures not business related sites.

 

What site are you trying to promote? Is it the one in your sig?

 

You can send mass scraps to people on these sites exhorting them to have a look at your sites. But I dont presume that you get dedicated visitors from these sites, although I may be wrong.

Sending people messages is a waste of time. You need to message your site in your profile and get in to the right groups on each site. Don't spam the sites, people are not receptive to that anyway.
