I was thinking about getting advertisements printed out and posted all over downtown.

What do you think about this first concept? :)

Gray looks good in photoshop but colored background on a printed out model looks much better. You should add some red or green curves to the backgroudn. Should look cool then :).

Also I always get some ideas how to critique the advertise. The rope is opened whats holding the nufrosh. It seems like the nufrosh can fall anytime.

    But thats just me.. :p

    Still the advertise looks cool...

I have to agree with you about the gray statement! What about the very light gradient, do you think that'll work well on print? I'll have a test run at the printers before getting them in bulk :)

When it's quality printing then everything should look same as in the photoshop. Also don't forget to use 300 dpi.

Edit: Before getting them in bulk try also those curves ! :D

Yes, I've got it in 300 DPI of course ;) and even higher if I need it.

Printing quality, I'll look for the best ;) I will see how the curves work out! Thanks!

I have taken many advertising classes and have assisted in campaigns for large companies. Here is some advice. You have to study sociology in advertising for a reason.

    1. Make string connected. The brain looks for imperfections first and if they notice the string not connected they may look at it and not your slogan or url.

    2. Make string connected. Some advertisers say its not true some do but I believe that anything with your company should be solid it looks like your air freshener aka your company logo and so on is just hanging there and that shows and triggers in the brain thoughts of weakness and instability.

    3. Make URL stand out more and maybe make font a size larger as people may be driving by or walking by and if the URL is not in their face they may not remember it plus some people don't have the best sight.

Its very cool design. Url should standout little more, so it catches the eye first. I would go with little first, see the results, then go for more if needed.

Sounds like you're applying a lot of psychology to the advertisement design :) Those points are very true, I'm going to make the changes that you've suggested.

Again, relating to psychology: when the logo is tilted, doesn't it stay in the brain a bit longer as it "turns" it to the right position so it's been read? A little trick ;) I suppose I can make it tilt but in a way that it doesn't look like it's falling? (I was following the real tree air freshener)

Yeah tilted the way you have it now is supposed to be best as it is easier to read quickly and catches attention instead of being straight up and down your brain has learned to ignore it. A lot of advertising has to do with how your brain works as people learn to look past and ignore advertising you need to find ways that they will view it and it will stay in their brains for longer.

Very nice, tilted may be interesting. But I think it is fine the way it is.

Yeah, it will work great, you can get good response from your local market as well if you promote it offline too.
