Pic7.com is for sale.

Been established sinse July 2006, and has been averaging 500+ uniques a month of which over 75%+ is direct traffic. The site used 24gig of bandwidth last month (July).

I have not monetized it, and im sure anyone would make money adding AdSense onto it.

I was originally thinking $225 as a reserve, however when the auction end time arrives, and if BIN or reserve is not met, I will make my decision whether to accept the highest offer.

I am not in a rush to sell this website, i have had it for over 1 year now with minimal advertising. With a minor investment and a little bit of time this could become a #k+ uniques a day site.

It's a nice little name, but can you tell me what the point of image hosting is from the site owner's point of view? I'm not being awkward, I really want to know what I could get out of it, how I could earn money I guess, filling up my server with people's pictures but only having one page on my site?

This isn't really just about your site, more image hosting sites in general really, but I might like to buy your site if you can enlighten me.

Monetizing your site can be done in many different ways. For example, AdSense would be one way to go. However i wouldn't recommend this as the PPC is pretty low for these kind of sites.

If i was going monetize this kind of a site i would add CPM ad's. This means you get paid per thousand impressions on the site. For example, $2 p/1k imps. It wouldn't be too hard to generate some income this way.

For example a user loads the site, (1 imp). The user uploads an image and gets taken to a page with the image URL, (2 imps). The user then uses the link and posts on a forum, or sends it in an email.. a lot more impressions!

However, you wouldn't put all your egg's in one basket. You should really add AdSense aswell, alongside a spot for people to pay for banner space.

You're probably thinking, "well why hasn't he made his thousands from this site".

This was a test site, a kind of side project which has been hosted on a dedi with other sites. I forgot about it and 1 year later, voila.. 500 uniques a month. I work online full time, and image hosting sites is not the main part of my job.

Anyways i hope the above has enlightened you a bit on monetizing image hosting sites in general.

Surely that only creates impressions for the images they uploaded, not for any banners of whatever I have on the site?
