Images next to ads allowed??

Just wondering as i was told it is breaking terms of service, can you put images next to adsense ads like at www.fftears.com? i would think not as it makes it look like part of your sites content and thus create false clicks. so is this allowed or not???

We all know for sure that it's not allowed. Refer to this page for what Google has to say on the matter.

You'll be playing the "wait till i get banned" game if you put images next to your adsense ads. It is against TOS.

Just cause other sites do it doesn't mean it follows the TOS, which it doesn't. I saw someone kill a guy on the news, is it legal or illegal for me to do this?

it is not allowed anymore since the change in adsense tos of january 2007.
But you can have them, you won't be banned. You will receive an email saying to remove them whenever someone files a complain about you or in the unlikely event that their staff look at your site.
Banning is for invalid clicks. Increasing the ctr which images above ads does, will maybe trigger smartpricing, meaning you'll earn less per click, but not a ban.

That's my opinion, now everyone has his opinion.

    Geezz...

    THOSE ADS ARE OK!
    <--- Read again

Now before flamming try to read carefully what google has to say about that.

You can definitely place Google ads on pages containing images -- just make sure that the ads and images are not arranged in a way that could easily mislead or confuse your visitors. For example, if you run a stock photography site with a catalog of thumbnail images, don't line the ads up with the thumbnails in a way that could be misleading. Consider using a full border around your ads or changing your ad colors, for example.

As long as the ads are framed in a different colour, it's ok to use them. That is the case.
You cannot frame only the images, you cannot put a vertical line between, but you can use the ads framed in a different colour, which is the case.
