Just because he has a different opinion than others?

Well How about the point that Kafer made about Hadith?
The first important collection of hadith was written by Bukhari, who died in 870. The prophet died in 632. Almost 200 years later.

He has all the rights to differ. But sorry to burst your bubble, he's not respected because he differs but because he challenges fact. Don't you go by facts? Yes you do.. Anyways, there's is no point explaining the science of Hadith to you guys because you have no interest in it other than to bash.
If you are interested then you can post on www.sunniforum.com. People will gladly reply.

One important thing I would like to mention is that Muslims will not bend over for the Western ideologies. We have our own unique way of life. We don't care what you think because this world doesn't run under your authority.

    Salam Nabil,

    That interpretation could be correct, however there are also many others interpretations that state different versions such as this hadith;

    Bukhari

Even if your presented interpretation is valid, you know well that the prophet when addressed by Allah in the Quran, didn’t mean necessarily that the message was private and personal.

For instance, here even though the prophet was addressed directly, the message was for all people.

My point is that the minimum (5) fixed number of daily prayers to be performed by the believers is unclear or not mentioned at all by Allah in his book. Additionally all references to prayers time in the Quran doesn’t equal that of the hadith.

    For example:

    yusufali 24:58

The magic number 5 actually came from the Night Journey Mi’raj, ascension of Muhammad to the heavens. In there the prophet with the help of the ever so experienced prophet Moses, managed to bargain with god and reduce the number of daily prayers from 50 to 5. That’s if we accept the story as was narrated to be true!

Surely not, but one should not get dismissed simply beacuse he has a seat in the gov?

I know that most scholars don't agree with him as they are stuck with the outdated and traditional Islamic law. His opinion is valid but because he wants to follow the words of the Quran as the main source he was dismissed. The traditionalists take the hadith to be almost as good as the "holy book" itself and that's why they can't progress. They are unaware of the big problem of the source or ignorant of the huge skepticism of the historicity of the Islamic tradition.

If Allah wanted to apply the stoning punishment why didn’t he say it? Or rather the appropriate question should be why did allah remove (abrogated) the stoning verse form the quran if he wanted that law to remain in place?

NB: Please ignore the neocons, some of them just mess things up for no apparent reason other than hatred towards Muslims.

Sunnah is not a book. Sunnah/Hadith is the "Acts and sayings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)". the whole life of Prophet (PBUH) is the explanation of Quran. In other words if you want to see the implemented Quran in the life of human as individual and in the society as collective then the life of Prophet (PBUH) and society he established is the prime example.

In other words, Allah reveals the complete "code of life" by Quran and by the life of Prophet (PBUH) showed us how to implement that code of life practically.

So the life of Prophet(PBUH) is an established bench mark for common Muslims. AS an individual the more our life is in accordance to the life of Holy Prophet better it is. And as collective society, more we get closer to a society like the society of Madina established by Holy prophet (PBUH) better it is.

By negating Sunnah you cant understand Islam and its teaching. Now the question is the authenticity of Sunnah/Hadith. The preservation of Hadith/Sunnah was on very strict rules. We can track any Hadith back to the Holy Prophet(PBUH) through the people who narrated those. we not only know the whole chain of people for each Hadith but also have the complete detail of every single person of that chain. the whole life of that person involved in the chain was observed for his honesty.
I will search more information on the Hadith autheticity and will present here.

    The Sunnah

Following the Sunnah (example) of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a fundamental part of Islam.. Allah orders us in numerous places in the Qu'ran to obey Him and to obey the messenger. Alhumdulillah, the record of the Prophet's (sunnah) have been kept until the present day. It is to our own detriment, if we fail to study both the Qu'ran and the Sunnah.

To be a true Muslim, the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) must be followed. The sources of information about the Sunnah are found in Hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet as well as things that he silently consented to). There are many authentic books of hadith from which these references are derived as well as scholars of hadith, who spend years of memorizing, studying and understanding the science of hadith.

When a Muslim knows the Qu'ran and seeks to obey the orders of Allah (ta'ala), it naturally follows that he/she will obey the Prophet (peace be upon him) as this is ordered by Allah in Qu'ran.

{And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad ) that you may obtain mercy}(3:132)

Islam is a way of life. Not just a set of orders, restrictions etc, but a spiritual, practical and natural development of the human being and society into a well organized, just and pious state of being. Muslims are those who, by following the Prophet (peace be upon him), who was said to be the 'Qu'ran in action', develop characteristics that are esteemed by all. It is upon the base of such characters, that a truly Islamic society emerges.

The Muslim who follows the Sunnah, learns how to combine strength with gentleness, modesty with courage, patience with fortitude and spirituality with practicality. The Muslim who follows the sunnah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is kind, gentle and generous to the family, hospitable to the guest, brave in battle and forgiving in victory. The Muslim who follows the Sunnah is modest in dress and manners, wealth is marked by humility and generosity, poverty is accompanied by patience, hope and effort, malice and revenge have no place in the heart and the constant love and fear of Allah (ta'ala) reigns supreme in both heart and mind, and is the pivot point of action in their lives.

May Allah (ta'ala) fortify our Iman and give us knowledge that is beneficial to us. May He, Who is the Most Merciful, let us appreciate the light of Islam, amidst the degeneration of mankind, and establish us on the way of the Sunnah.

Holy Prophet (PBUH) had an exception of marriages not becuase he wanted to marry but because Allah (swt) ordered it. And there was a very strong logic behind the every marriage of Holy Prophet (pbuh).

Rememebr, the first marriage of Holy prophet was with Mother Khadija who was 40 years old while Holy Prophet (PBUH) was only 25. AND Prophet did not do any other marriage for a long time (more than 15 years).

Since Allah (swt) wanted not only to establish a new society on the foundation of Islamic principles but also give His teachings and set the morals of the companions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the highest level to set as example for all the followers of all times. So one of the major task of Holy Prophet (PBUH) was to teach and train his companions according to the true essence of Islam.

So to achieve this, one issue was to give teachings of Islam to women. there were such issues of women which they could not discuss to a man. So the purpose of marriage with Mother Ayesha was to bring up her life under the guidance of Holy Prophet (PBUH).
By spending her whole life with prophet (PBUH) she was able to not only teach the women the way Holy prophet (PBUH) or Allah (SWT) wanted but also she was the richest source of Hadith. Even after the death of Holy Prophet (PBUH) people (men/women) ask her for certain issues because she was thought to the most accurate source of true information.
She is the reference of hundred of thousands Hadith and since spend her whole life with Holy Prophet (PBUH) so her opinion on the matters where direct wording from Holy Prophet were not available, her stance was considered correct.
Now if you are unbiased and try to udnerstand with open mind, you can easily conclude that this marriage was not the result of (Naousubillah) sexual desire but to fulfill a very great purpose and was direct order of Alalh (SWT)

So here is what an authentic hadith looks like:

A said that B said that C said that D was told that the son of E heard the father of F said that the wife A of the prophet told him that she saw that the prophet always washed his genitals with his left hand.

Scholars will conclude that the rule that should be derived from this hadith is that we the followers must use our left hand when washing our genitals.

Nothing but Chinese whispers over the centuries...

Ask your source when was the first hadith book written? What assurances do we have that the writer of the book was not subjective in selecting what to compile and what not? Why don’t the shi’a accept most of the sunni hadith books as authentic and vise versa?

I don’t deny that there are some genuine hadiths in existence, but there are also countless fabricated stories in the sunnah, by the admission of Muslim scholars themselves. SO the sunnah cannot be taken seriously as a reliable historical source.

The terrorist attacks are AGAINST Islam.
These Terrosrists should not give the picture of Islam being a religion which teaches it followers to do such acts.

We are not talking about narrators who lived in the same period as the hadith collectors nor had they met the prophet himself. The compilers of the hadith made subjective decisions to include/exclude stories based on their own unscientific non-academic criteria. However sincere the writer of the sunnah could be and whatever effort was put, it was impossible for an individual without any mean of technology to travel across many countries and check hundreds of thousands of stories for their reliability and truthfulness.

We are told for example that Bukhari collected more than 300,000 hadith and transmitted only 2,602 traditions in his books.

If the hadiths were written during the times of Mohammed, we might be able to accept their authenticity. But the prophet made matters more complicated by blocking the writing down of such thing.
