Stuck on Google Page 2 postion 2 - Can you help?

My site has original content, a blog with original content, a podcast and PR3 but I'm getting beat out on Google page One for my top keyword by a page one page site with an embeded VIRUS and a UK site.

I'm in position twelve and I'm wondering if I've got some major error that's holding the site back. I'm on Page 1 position 2 at Yahoo and MSN for this top keyword.

start submitting your website to directories with regular and reciprocal listing this is the good way to generate links and backlinks and also submit to forums and article directory but tend to keep unique in content as this can only give you boost in your SE ranking...

I just also saw you need some more work to be done on you on page seo and then proceed for off page seo...

You may want to revise your title to make it relate better to your target keywords. In addition, study the keyword density of your competitors who rank better than you

 

Keyword density is almost obsolete. Context of the keyword is more important now after the implementation of LSI algos inGoogle.

If you dont know LSI, it is called Latent semantic indexing. in easy words it means that google checks for the related keywords to your main keyword which other top ranked sites have used.

For example, if you are trying to rank for "Golf" and other top ranked sites have used a word "Tiger wood" in their content then google will consider "Tiger wood" a related word to "Golf" and if you are not using the word "tiger wood" in your content then Google will not consider your site as relevant as a site with the word "Tiger wood" on it.

these words are called as "Search Engine proven synonyms". So the first thing you need to do is adjust your content to add those SEPS. this will give a huge boost to your relevance and so to the ranking.
