That is the problem, until now we didn't find a solution.

I don't care how many posts you got, but if I get to know you and you die, I be sad. Even if I just know you from a forum.

 

Well the point of this thread, is to at least know if you are still alive or not.
I bet alot of members have disspeared from these forums, and nobody knows if they are alive or not.

But your right, seeing someone die that you normally see post is sad.
Yes we are all online friends, but DP is basically becoming our second home.

 

What if the owner of the forum gets sick or something? Where he at anyways?

 

I should think we'd know if that happened, lots of people know him offline that are here



How long do you think this forum will last, till the end of my life? (Approx 60-70 years..I hope!)

 

His grandkids will prolly run it then, cause if he online a lot, he may be getting arthritis or something.

 

I think if something happens to the forum owner. (God Forbid) and let's say that nobody knows him personally. Then the forum will go offline, because remember this is just like any website. If you stop paying the hosting, or you stop paying the interent fees (I guess this forum owner has a server for himself) Then the forum will go offline.

 

Heh in most cases member wont be able to inform other members about his death hehe
