Are we allowed to create another Google?

if we buy the google clone script, are we allowed to still use it? or do we need a license from Google.?

So yes, you can make a start page using Google search with code provided by Google via Adsense or their developer program. This code, however, appears illegal and not very useful even if it was.

I think (if I'm correct) It uses the adsense for search code and just creates a page that looks like google but you earn money for every search someone makes

 

Doesn't sound very ethical to me, anyone reading this thread and considering using the script should ask themselves if they're making the Internet a better or worse place by using it.

 

I have seen the clone of this. I have no clue how its working, because the searches show up diffrent results from google, yet it still shows millions of pages.

 

this is a genius idea. just run adbrite ads or AA instead.

I wouldn't try to make a Google clone I were you. I was always told to never bite the hand that feeds you. And google feeds all of us webmasters, so if you want to starve go ahead. Just don't come begging me for food.

 

i was thinking if you got your host and creating your own directory with a google search bar in front..

 

I don't think that's a good idea, if you want to start it anyway go ahead, but you will encounter problems in the future. I'd say you go for your own idea, and not based on Google.
