Sounds like I better submit to more directories now before everybody raises their prices.

What if your pr goes down? Will anybody lower their prices if it goes down back to where it was before you raised it last time?
I mean if you raise it from a pr4 to a pr5 and then it goes back to pr4 shouldn't you lower your price back to what it was?
Just asking. I'm still new to this.

    Thanks

Depends what pagerank I get. I am selling for $1 a link at the moment and I have a N/A pagerank, so I expect that I will raise my fees over the next few weeks.

I'm not quite following you either. Anyway, I made a small change in pricing a few days ago. It use to be $25 for the top level categories and $20 for inner categories, I have changed all pricing to $25 as I do not think it makes sense to ask for a review fee based on pr.

It all depends on PR..(Even though PR is useless :p)

I think I may increase the price if google is happy :)

So at the end, it's still about PR. (Saying in a different way does not change it)

You better do. Prices will surely change even a few bucks on most directories.
    (A history lessen)

I am also planing to change prices for Best Web Directory but NOT because of PR, I am working on few updates and after that, I think I might go a little more UP in my price. Keep up with promotion and updates needs more $$$. ;) May be I will go with having more submission options.

I think I will have a final setup in next one week or so.

price on www.szab.net already increased few weeks ago so I can say its not because of PR but because of features that I've added to the directory and amount of money that I'd spent for promotion. And the price will be likely to stay the same until next year.

With respect to the OP we do not base any relevance to monitors or other artificially created gimmicks or whatever they are

Our Business Directory has a single ongoing priority which is to provide the very best service to all our Reviews and Clients and to support them at the best valued added rate

Our Directory is marketed and promoted all year round :)

And that is exactly why you were one of the first paid directories I had submitted to.

Million dollar question is: whether PR is even going to change/update this time?:rolleyes:

Anyway, I might consider revising the price, but not immediately after PR change (if it happens)... I would rather focus on getting more backlinks and references for my directories:)

I have in fact decreased the price on my PR6 directory.

Few days back I installed the new Payment Mod of LeopardAt on it that gave me the amazing option to decrease the price.

Previously it used to be $19.99 for permanent regular submissions and $34.99 for featured. They were without extra/deeplinks.

Now -- the pricing option is --

    Regular - $14.99 (Yearly)
    --------- $34.99 ( Permanent)

    Featured - $34.99 (Yearly)
    ---------- $64.99 (Permanent)

One can choose how many deeplinks to add. (upto 6) and each extra link costs --$3.99

The only problem - is the form-filler does not work with the new submission page:(

But - if some one has a text file -written about the site and extra links - he/she can just upload it in seconds and no need to type descriptions, links again and again.

Expecting the directory to change its PR -- either it becomes PR5 or PR7:p But prices will remain the same.

We charge $5 to review a site from the day we launch and before the site has even been indexed. :)

I haven't changed the pricing option on one of my directory http://www.opendooryouth.com, which recently got from PR0 to PR4

    Prices are still very cheap
    Featured link for 3 Month + 5 deep links - $5.95
    Featured link for 1 Year + 5 deep links - $9.95
    Regular links + 3 deep links - $3.95
Regular links with reciprocal - $3.95

I am definitely going to change prices or even convert to recip/paid type of deal on my Real Estate Directory. But the question is, will Google update their pr at all?

Probobly going to keep them in the same ballpark. I won't be selling them at higher prices but I should be selling a lot more of them as I'm expecting another six PR7 inner pages.
