with $240 (would put me on PR4 page with 20 other listings).... or get like 5-6 permanent listing reviews from lesser (and less expensive) directories.

    thoughts?

If $240 is a lot for you, there's an annual payment option...

    Go for quality over quantity.

Think I'll go for a year in BOTW + a year in Aviva.. and see how they do.

One thing i don't understand about BOTW if you pay the $240 option and get rejected they keep it all :p so the review price depends on the choice of listing :p

Probably a good candidate to be listed at the Quick Buck Crew site.

Well if you have a death wish i recommend to go for the year listing so your lost is less LOL

$240 for a review fee unrefundable if that is the case is a sheer waste of good money.

Especially when there are so many other places you could be your good money to use.

Yep I would spread that cash around with some of the directory owners here at DP.

Put your money to better use and just choose 4-5 directories from this list.

Wouldn't waste my money on it to be honest, certainly not relying on PR, that's if you play any strength on http://www.searchenginejournal.com/goodbye-google-pagerank/5465/

btw, why do botw claim to be the oldest web directory? This one puzzles me as they were an award only site right up until August 2003. http://web.archive.org/web/20030808090312/http://www.botw.org/ also I noticed that a large amount of their content is uncannily simular to dmoz.

Don't waste your coin, I don't know about QBC but certainly FOBC. :D

I don't get it. Why no refund? That doesn't seem to be so professional. So monthly option will minimize the loss? (unless you forget to cancel it! :D)

I understood BOTW as... when you pay 239.95 for the one-time fee.. then $79.95 of that 239.95 is non-refundable.. maybe I'm wrong..

    Anyways...

    I Went ahead with:

    Aviva, featured: $74.95
    KwikGoblin, featured: $49.95
    Apahcinc, featured: $49.95
    web10.ws, featured: $49.95

    Total spent: $224.80

This has got to beat the pants off one permanent BOTW review! :)

Yup, I agree. No need to waste money on an unrefundable fee from BOTW. Its better if you spend the money on well-known directories by Jeff or Chris.

to tell u the truth i dont mind paying non-refundable fee if the reasons are judgeable and the admin provides feedback why the sites weren't in .. so u can resubmit.

like www.stpt.com << i got rejected once and i willl submit again when they open for general directories ....

i was rejected becuz i didn't hav alexa under 50k now i do ... all i need to do is fill up my categories with quality links and i m working on tht..

    botw .. just simply reject
