I have a new blog I've mentioned here recently (www.realmom.net.) It's starting to generate a bit of a traffic flow, including repeat visitors, and is starting to rank well for certain keywords. I'm still working on social bookmarking and SEO, as well as building pages and am always adding content. My plan has always been to get some traffic and then monetize the site. I'd like to stay away from Adsense, and the Fadoo ads on the site at the moment are placeholders. I'm considering getting a custom design with banners and ad spots to sell. I want to blog to stay classy and be an authoritative site, not spammy. I would like it to start pulling in a bit from my traffic, though. How do y'all monetize sites like this? Thanks! Rebecca

Hi, You can add a directory to your website and offer listings or ads.As your site gains higher Page Rank, your rates can go up and this is consistent with your intention to make your site an authority site.
You can try affiliate programs as well. Shops with products for babies could work. BTW, if you want your blog to stay classy and not spammy, don't do any paid reviews, only do so if you have tried the product and the review is honest..
A lot of those places aren't going to accept a very new blog like the one in the first post. May as well look at some of the other up and coming options too - you could even have a look at mine if you wanted.
