    It is a forum that gathers science news from many websites and presents them as new threads.

    It's indexed very well in Google (around 100,000 links) and recently it started growing dramatically.

    Attached statistics reports from today (August 9th, 2007).

    First, my forum is IPB-based forum. IPB forums allow importing RSS feeds from any site that support such feeds (on hourly / daily basis or any other time unit you set it).

    Second, it was a very hard work for me - to find the appropriate feeds (there are around 100 RSS different feeds) and setting each one of them to be imported to the right sub-forums I defined.

    I don't think it's a big issue to transfer the entire site without breaking the backlinks.

    is it a legit IPB license? becasue the IPB version I see is 2.1.6 and s far as I know latest IPB is 2.3.1

    Of course it's legal! The forum is licensed.

    I just haven't installed the newest version yet. I've noticed that although IPB 2.2 has many new features (haven't seen 2.3), it is a little bit slow. That's why I chose not to upgrade yet.

    There are sites that don't allow that (and they state it). The websites I import the feeds from are O.K.

    Please correct me if I wrong and I'll remove any related feeds that are not legal.

    Please note that when a new thread is imported and opened in my forum, the hypertext "Read Full Story" appears at the first post with a link to the full article from the original website, so the website I import from gets more traffic from CompacTech. See for example: "Doctors Able To Predict Chance Of Breast Cancer Returning".
