    Hi,
Today I got an email from Digital point saying someone tried to login my account. He/she tried five times and my account got locked. So I waited for few hours and got one more mail from DP. The same person tried 10 times to log into my DP account and got it locked.

Why the hell someone from DALLAS want a poor Asian girl's Digital Point account? Why is this person trying to login to my user account?

Is it possible for the moderators find out who is the DP member from this IP?

The email is real. Someone attempted to access your account without your permission, but fortunately they failed.

The email is automated, but I also got the same email from the same IP address.

The IP is from The Planet, I assume a dedicated server client of theirs or someone who got their dedicated server taken over by a hacker.

Maybe they hope to look for login information via PM, or to use your account to spam people? I really cannot find a reason for them to hack into DP accounts. It makes no sense..

Well, that's kinda scary. Not that my account is worth stealing, LOL. Maybe it was your little brother fiddling with your computer? Happens to me a lot.

Edit: I should learn to read. You said the guy was logging on from DALLAS! Or maybe it WAS your little brother using a proxy server or something. Heheh.

Why would someone want to steal a 200 post account?

same here. I think the hacker started with account names that begin with 'a' (and ascii characters that come before 'a').

It could be an honest mistake, unlikely, but it could be.
