i've had some sites show over 100% CTR when they only get a couple of clicks/impressions a day and never had an issue. this person does seem to have enough clicks that something is off. he should be fine now that he notified google.

I wouldnt report it unless it has happened more than once...ive reported it to them when ive had 300% and they didnt even respond back. If you had 100 clicks, and 150% ctr then houston, theres a problem...

I get an average CTR at 15% consistently since the past 2 years or so. But when i started, I got a 120% cTR that was due to my DAMN friends who were so impressed with the ads that they clicked way too often. I saw a ban in around 15 days time. Not unusual. I had to chuck the domain and move forward with it. If that kind of clicks come for more than even a DAY you are off for a Big Day with Mr.G. If it doesnt continue, you are safe.

I would suggest removing ads from the site(s) giving you that CTR, it doesn't seem right to me.

Then shoot a email of to G - explaining what you know.

I range from 4-10% and that is high, above average.

The usual click through rate should be around 2%.

If you have a moderate website with 1000 visitors per day, more than 15% is not possible.

Good that you contacted them first rather than getting an email from G that your account has been suspended.

Also try to track the clicks or visits from, atleast you can draw a line of suspects

Click bombing is getting very common nowadays....and its really scary... It happened to me as well but luckily i was saved. I think you did the right thing to report it to Google Adsense. Try using google analytics and integrate it to your adsense account.

    Goodluck!

I do get about 0.3 to 0.4% usually. One day I noticed 1.04% CTR. But 154% CTR is really alarming.
You should intimate the same to Google Adsense Team.
