And Paypal will ALWAYS address you by your name, not 'Paypal User'.

It would be very rare for PayPal to send an email out to a user. They would NEVER have you click on a link from that email to do ANYTHING. If there was something wrong with your account, they would instruct you to go to PayPal's website and log in, but they are smart enough (now) to never include a link to it.

Most companies realize this now, although you still find some small town banks that send out emails with instructions and live links to their site. They need to know that this is exactly what a phishing email would look like, and by sending out emails like that they are increasing the chances that their customers will get tricked by a phisher.

Just always make sure you go to the website https://www.paypal.com - if Paypal needs anything from you, it will be there when you sign in.

In outlook, you can right click on the hyperlink and choose copy. And then you can paste that into Notepad - chances are it was not going to Paypal's website

Ya i complelty agree with him becoz paypal has clearly mentioned and also other companies doing payment transfers that u must use https:// and not http:// and also that do not click on any link in ur email but always login into ur account and what ever u r required do it from there,it wil be mentioned if u r requested to do anything. So never click on any link in ur email and also as it was in spam box then its clearly a sapming mail..And let me clear u by showing u the threa which is being started against a person doing these kind of jobs.I mean fake emails and paypal i.d hacker. He is one of the spammer ??
