I noticed one DP member is starting 4, 5 and even more directories each day. He has almost 120+ directories (within last two month). Just did some research here is the result. http://www.linkrink.com/cgi-bin/s.cgi?id=3468 What do you think about this.
well, you can see this video clip by Matt Cutts about class C IP. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3583760678227172395 Google is not serious about this issue unless you have A LOT of domains. The only possible risk or penalty is when you cross link with each domain, a lot of them. There was another thread about this issue some time ago, but no proof or no one could answer on how many sites you can cross link without being penalized.
I think Google does not look at ips of the domains ,but why he is starting directories at a rapid pace!
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=29910 same ip,info domains,unrelated domain names,oh poor man!
hahah thats seems to be funny for me ... that guy is making directories 2-3 every day lol I dont know how he is maintaining all that ...
From his last post: So he has reached up to at , but still at alphabet A... so one can understand how many directories he is planning to launch.. BTW: We also know that .info comes for merely 99 cents..
Nice Catch YIAM I think that guy is planning to make some sort of record. (Guinness world record) At the moment, he is leading with two categories. 1) Having max. no of crap directories 3) Launching max. crap directories in a given time. Looks like you hacked into his PC and leaked the "master plan" Secure yourself before he plan to come after you
is it easy to begin directory? That guy must be nothing to do every day but making directories and maintaining his products
One more thing that could be is, normally new directories gets good traffic for first few days. So he might be earning some $$ from Adsense.
Nahh I don't there is much profit with AdSense. But I can bet on this, soon you will be seeing him in "Link Sale" forum offering a "nice" deal on sponsored link for his "network"
Or you might be seeing him selling these domains for $20 each... most of them are one word info domains so he will take the directory down and he can sell them under the pretext of "one word traffic domain"
coolsitez's post really says it all and I agree with it. Until some proof comes along I don't think there is a big concern. If you want to cross-link your sites you should spread them out a bit on different class c's. I myself use around 8 different class c's on three different hosting accounts with two different hosting companies and I have not had any problems. I should also add that the specific person Yiam is talking about is one of the reasons the directory industry gets a 'bad rap', creating dozen's of uselsess low-quality directories is bad for everyone invlolved in the industry. I made a post about how silly the irrelevant names of this persons directories were a long-time ago and it seem he is going down the alphabetical list and is going to pump out hundreds of them.
Maybe he has a strategy in mind. In my opinion, it's his problem. I bet he is working all day long, so congrats for the strong approach. I couldn't do this, I would go nuts after a day or 2.
