Thats a pretty darn good job there tdd1984!
Check out smartpagerank.com in 6 months he got 92,336 backlinks and an alexa of 15,739. Thats pretty darn impressive as well. Granted he doesnt rank as well as you do for such a good keyword string.

This is just proof that there are many techniques to getting links and they all work. I don't agree witrh the thing people are talking about that you can't use reciricol links. They work as well as any..

    tdd1984,

What would you say are the best places to look for reciprocal link exchanges?

I owe you a beer, a high 5, and a lapdance from your choice of Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, or Shakira

It's actually funnier than where the OP denies getting calls & emails from time wasters lol

actually my pr is a 0 right now I just did a 301 redirect from my old domain indianawebsitedesign.net to dewittsmedia.com which should be established soon I wanted to redirect it before page rank, plus my brand name is Dewitt's media of course ;) I know the pr is higher then a 3 probably a 6.

Actually your PR is still whatever it was before the update / rollback / googlefark Q3 07

Google blanked out the toolbar.....this does not mean you lost any PageRank.

As I said my only problem is with the great rankings your'e saying you don't get time wasters.

I purposely do try not to rank SEO wise for this very same reason...

I would say this year alone I've had to deal with over 100 of these

"I want to be on top of google for "online poker" I can pay you $100.00 this month"

    Which is always followed by

"after I get to the top I will pay you more"

    Ohh lucky me lol...

    Good luck and persevere!

LOL I sould be saying good luck to you!.

Reason your getting people like that for is because your probably new to seo, and you don't have a well branded name.
I can get 199 per hour for consulting all day long, and thats not much money at all. Branding is by far important and rankings in serps is important competitive keyterms are great for branding.

Ohh geez you pegged me lol....I spend way too much time in the PR Update thread

You still have PageRank to indianawebsitedesign.net. it just hasn't passed to Dewittmedia that you are aware of.

However for Google employees PR is updated daily. So Dewitt probably has its PR score internally with Google....just not exported as of yet.

Do you think after the 301 is settled you'll still hold position, given the weighting you had with the keyword term in the URL?

I'd be interested to know how it turns out/

nah keywords in the domain name shouldn't effect to much generally Google looks at your links to determine rankings I've played with keyword titles and etc and generally didn't have no effect on this keyword, maybe for less competitive keywords that are long tails of course.

Even if my sites rankings does go down a little bit, I can always push it back up. My brand is far more important then the nasty domain indianawebsitedesign.net if you get my drift.

if you subscribe to my rss feed I'll post on the 301 redirect and tell you what type of effect i has :) thats to every one

Actually I left you a little note with me being so new and all....

Amazingly enough however I have not had to scream and beg people to pick up my blog in my 2900 posts nearly a 1/10th as much as you have in this thread alone.

If you were making $199.00 per hour I doubt you would need to hawk your website design cum SEO so hard.

I'll still like to see if you maintain the front page rankings for that one term after the 301 kicks in...

My guess is with the keyword no longer in the URL it won't stay..

But I'll keep my fingers crossed for you....

You hit the nail on the head!! Branding counts much more, than many other webmasters realize.

To be honest though I would undo the 301 ....

Put Dewitt on a completely different C class server and compete with yourself for front page rankings. You did it once you can do it again.

    Just an evil idea.......

    that works hehehe

My AOL member ID was under 100,000 if that helps...

I accessed the net on a 9600 baud modem which at the time allowed one to see green text on a black background.
