POFclone.com is going to die.. (unauthorized use of trademark Plentyoffish.com)

Unfortunately, our domain and product name is going to die...

We have developed a clone of Plentyoffish and uses their trademark which I did not knew "POF" was also their trademark. We have received an official letter from lawyers of Plentyoffish, so too bad, but we will proceed with our business.

We need to think about a new name for our product, but we rather to use something similar like Plentyoffish, because that's mainly the product. We cannot use "Plenty of fish", "POF", and "Plentyoffish".

Help us suggesting a new powerful name to brand ourself that relate us with the plentyoffish script.

You dont need to brand your site as such - thats more a job of people who buy your script to brand it. If your product is good it will sell itself.

Whats the status now for people who have ordered the pofclone.com one? Will be transferred over to the new one?

Thanks for feedback, basically nothing will change for the customers, just the domainname etc. but that will happen internally by us. We have to brainstorm first about a new productname.

As Vic said, no one really cares what the software is called it could be called: iusfhgidsfuhg

and if it does what people want and have the support & development behind it then it will build its own name and reputation.

take google for instance.... its all about whats behind it.
