hello webmasters and experts in dp.. can you pls tell me what is directory submission and how to do so?
Directory submission is submitting your site to directories... you go to a directory website, go to 'submit link' and fill out a form. That's directory submission
A directory submission is where you would submit: Title of your website homepage Description for your website URL of your website And usually your name and relevant email address. You submit the above information to a directory and then the submission is usually reviewed before being accepted and listed into the directory or rejected if guidelines were not followed or if the directory owner doesn't accept the particular kind of site. You can usually submit websites, blogs and directories and its a good idea not to use the same Titles or Descriptions.
Your welcome surya, there can be more to it, but that is some of the basics regarding submissions, as your submitting to them you pick up more knowledge and get used to how they operate and what they expect.
okay.. as far as now, am clear with basics hmm.. can we really earn through directory submissions? i mean getting paid for dir submissions.. is it really worthy?
Do you mean you would like to offer a service? as in submitting other peoples sites to directories for a fee? Forgive me if im misunderstanding.

Yer you can get paid to submit to directories for people and quite a lot of people do it (as long as its all done by hand), some submissions are done by automated tools which is a very bad method for directory submission.
sabian1982 is pointing out a few important things to take into account, and regarding making decent money from it, and it being worthwhile i think depends on what country your in. For myself, living in the UK, there is no way i could do it as i couldn't compete with many of the people out there doing it very cheaply, poosibly like 10cents per submission i think? The reason some can do it, like in India etc, its the currency they will accept, usually $, will go a lot further in Asian countries than it would elsewhere.

Unfortunately the biz giant network is not mine, its owned by another member here, i only have 6 general directories myself. iTrader is where you leave a feedback after you have done business with someone here on DP, last night was when i gained my first point. Its from the Buy,sell,trade section.
Funny enough it was for buying a package of submissions to directories. I was pleased with the service given and equal respect back from the seller.
No in this situation i was the Buyer, it was me who paid for someone else to list my sites in their directory network.
