I think that it's all up to you, it would be really easy to give up if you really want to give up but if you just keep saying oh i'm gonna give up smoking without giving it your best shot or not really feeling you want to. I think will power is the only thing that makes you stronger when trying to give up, not that i have that, thats why i still smoke lol.
I smoke like 20 cigars a day but have no intention to stop .. Its like i cant live without smoking , im only 20 years .
A close friend of mine who's been a smoker for a decade swears by the cold turkey "technique." We were out drinking one night and on his third bottle he just said "i quit smoking." He's never picked up a cigarette since then. What a weirdo. LOL. Good luck with it dude and i hope you kick the habit.
Start working out, or get addicted to some type of sport. I think that is the only way you can quit smoking. Because you will realize that you can do much more of you drop that ciggy.
some people replace cigarettes by chewing gum or by finding another more healthier addictive stuff. addiction is more a psychological thing, but most won't tell you that, due they are making lots of money on quit smoking products.
It's easy to fall to the trap again... I'm going to use it again. I won't be able to write at this forum then. Strange friend... thanks, anyway! I think that I'll go for bicycle. A lot of money indeed...
I'm a 20 a day smoker and have been for years. I've tried to quit once and succeeded albeit only for 6 months then i started again. The best advice i could give is wait until you get ill. Then you can't smoke however much you want to. Generally you wont have a ciggy for a few days, after that it is much easier to not smoke.
