I've been giving my workers a raise of almost 5% on their monthly salaries if they continue to work for me for more than 4 months. Other than that i believe in providing the best working atmosphere for them, this is a major morale booster. Coming back to topic, the Wages in India are rising heavily, thats a good development. But we should also bear in mind that the chinese are catching up and its a matter of time before they enter the outsourcing industry or it industry in a big way. The indian govt atm has NO STRATERGY and the development is all thanx to talented labour. There needs to be major restructuring before the chinese invasion(in the it sector)
Very true. I am also a little worried about china. They get good support and infrastructure from the govt . As far as outsourcing to India is concerned its not only because of cheap labor. I think some Indians have the talent and capacity to deliver quality product. More and more people now trust Indians .
So overall we agree that india is a really poor country with most of its population being on verge of existance!
Your pay scales depend upon your qualification and the type of job profile you are holding. These days even a 12 standard pass college can earn a monthly salary of Rs.8000 to 10,000 , per month.I mean, in a call centre profession.
For that even you need to have good communication skills or else they will just reject you. I accept that payscale depends on your qualification but still its nowhere compared to payscales in other countries.
What is a reasonable salary for an Indian outsourcer to pay an SEO trainee? And, what is a reasonable rate for me to pay the Indian outsourcer?
Only 2k ? Man, it's a way too low (at least not as I expected). I thought $3k-$5k in average. Smart indians can do 2k a month from selling SEO EASILY.
That dreck of a "newspaper" is obsessed with beggars. They recently sent a reporter "undercover" to live with a beggar to show that beggars make "a lot of money". The people working for mumbai mirror are probably jealous of the beggars On topic, living in India can be advantageous & relatively lucrative if you take advantage of the low-priced labor & other advantageous commodities & circumstances here, rather than labor yourself. The best example of this would be an illiterate person (there are many) selling fast food on the streets who makes US $50-$200 everyday, while someone with a degree is working their ass off in some office for a pay of between $100 to $500/month. By the way Zerosleep, I know someone who works at Mcdonalds, he gets paid Rs.6000/month, which is about $150.
Some stats here if anyone is interested http://www.payscale.com/research/IN/Country=India/Hourly_Rate
Super cool! Thanks! 343.00 INR = 8.53022 USD That's $1,364.80/mo for a web developer. Over twelve months, that's $16,377.60.
That would be awesome. I've brought in a lot of people recently, so the requirements have changed. Your offer motivated me to write up a new thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=4047100
No way. Not with lack of infra structure or corruption. America won't come any where near India if you look at those two. India is like the super power of the world as far as corruption is concerned. You have to bribe every body. To get a drivers license, to get a birth certificate/death certificate, to get a school admission, to see a doctor in public health system etc. etc. Violence in America is very high. Thats where America sucks. Not in infra structure or corruption.
