Two feedback questions about my mini-site.

    Please view my mini-website at:
    http://www.legal-video-depositions.org

I was hoping for answers to the following 2 questions:

    1) On a scale of 1 to 10, how useful would you rate the value of this mini-website.

    and...

    2) If you gave a score less than a 10, what would you do to the site to make it a 10.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

on a score of 1 to 10, i'll say 10 for an infraction for posting this in the wrong forum.
this is for feedback for this site, not your sites.
you should have posted this in the review forum

Looks MFA - that is, you're more interested in your ad revenue than in the content of your site or in keeping your visitors.

It'll probably get a high CTR, but if Google sees this site they probably won't like it and might deactivate your Adsense account. They have been known to go after MFA sites. You might get paid what they owe you up to that point, but your lost future Adsense revenue hardly makes it seem worth it to me.

    Hi,

Your website smacks of google adsense the moment u visit it. It also has the very boxy feel with all the contents boxed up into compartments, so that there is no element of life on it. The design suggests the use of an old fashioned, out of date template that had seen better days in the past.

What exactly is your main objective for this website?

If it is to function mainly as a one page money maker for your Legal Deposition business, be it as an affiliate or as a owner, then the use of google adsense should be dropped like a hot potato as soon as possible because the use of google adsense is given the prime position on the website at present, overshadowing the Legal Deposition part of your business.

Your use of fonts and titles is so unimaginative that the titles hardly attract, because of their size and color.

On the whole, if it is a MFA, I think your site is good- the ugliness of the design will want to make a visitor click on your google ads, but if its for any other purpose, the site would hardly make it attractive for someone to stay longer to read the contents, in my opinion.

Hope this frank comment is helpful to you.

Thanks for the useful feedback dascore,

The main purpose of the site is two fold.
    1. Provide useful information.
    2. Make money from ads.

What I'm trying to develop is a site that doesn't reek of spam and right now, it comes across as very spammy (most likely due to adsense).

My goal is to create a mini-site that people will not see as spammy and will value the content enough to link back to it, while at the same time getting a good CTR in the process.

Thanks for feedback sarahk. I am indeed interested in the ad revenue, but I do want a site that accomplishes both. I want visitors to view the site as a valuable resource for information as well. Not quite sure how to get a happy medium between the two. That is...an informative useful resource that yields high adsense revenue.

I agree with your comment about the Adsense, the front page is only about 25% content and the rest adverts and headers. However I think that given the field in which he's operating the 'sober' and perhaps slightly-old fashioned look is the right approach rather than a site that says "Hey, yeah, woo, look video evidence baby!"

    PS - what's an 'MFA'?

I would remove any attempt to monetize this site!

Spend some time at template sites or just surfing information sites and get a feel for the layouts you like and the layouts you detest. Then put the good elements into your site. Advertising works even when it's discrete. And discrete doesn't have to mean blended, infact, it should stand out as being "third party" but it shouldn't dominate.
